Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid


Lotus will unveil a hybrid version for its now famous Evora sports car at the Geneva Motor Show. Called Evora 414E Hybrid, the new version develops a total of 414 hp, makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in in under 4 seconds and has a hybrid range of over 300 miles. The hybrid drive-train system consist of twin motors each limited to providing 204 hp of power and 400 Nm (295 lbft) of torque to each wheel via independent, single speed, reduction transmissions integrated into a single housing, (...)




2010 Zagato Perana Z-One


If in 2009 at the Geneva Motor Show Zagato brought a first concept version of the Perana Z-One sports car, this year at the same show the company brought the production version ready. The Perana Z-One will be the first sports car to come from South African and will have an estimated price of $65,000. Zagato hopes to build around 100 units a year. NVL Quant revealed in Geneva


If the NLV Quant revealed in 2009 at the Geneva Motor Show was developed in cooperation to Koenigsegg, this year NVL Solar brought their own version of the four-seater electric car. Mercedes E300 BlueTEC Hybrid


Mercedes unveiled their first ever hybrid diesel model at the Geneva Motor Show. The E 300 BlueTEC combines a a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine developing 204 hp with a powerful hybrid module. Sales will begin at the end of 2011. The 4-cylinder diesel engine in combination with a 15 KW compact electric motor deliver a total of 224 hp and a torque of over 580 Nm. All this with a fuel consumption of 4.1 liters of fuel per 100 km (NEDC), equivalent to CO2 emissions of 109 g/km. The (...)




Buick Regal GS


At the 2010 Detroit Auto Show, Buick unveiled the Regal GS Concept - a US version for the European Insignia OPC. Now GM has confirmed that the company will build a high-performance version of the Buick Regal sports sedan. The production version will resemble the concept version and will most likely will feature the same 255HP, turbocharged 2-liter engine. Volkswagen Golf R by Abt Sportsline


Abt Sportsline joined the ranks of the number of tuning houses who made their presences felt at the Geneva Motor Show with their new offering: a tuning package for the new Volkswagen Golf R. And as with most of Abt Sportsline's works-of-art, the tuned up Volkswagen Golf sure does live up to that 'R' (racing) label attached to it after the tuner spiked up the Golf's engine to deliver 310 horsepower with a 0-60 sprint time in 5.2 seconds. Alpina unveiled the B3 S Biturbo at the Geneva Motor Show. The tuning kit will be available for Sedan, Coupe, Estate and Convertible 3-Series and is based on improving especially the car's performances. Hamann Conqueror II


The German tuner Hamann unveiled the Conqueror II at the Geneva Motor Show. It is a tuning kit based on the Range Rover SPORT that improves both the SUV's aerodynamics, but also the performances. The aerodynamic kit includes: a stylishly adjusted front bumper components with the four integrated LED daytime running lights and the carbon bonnet, a roof spoiler, a rear apron placed in a diffuser-look and the HAMANN-side planking. Porsche Panamera by Mansory


If the first Mansory tuning package for the Porsche Panamera was mostly based on improving the car's toothy aesthetics, Mansory's second tuning package, which it revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, is now focusing on improving the Panamera's performances. Gumpert Apollo Sport


Gumpert unveiled the new 2010 Apollo Sport supercar today at the Geneva Motor Show. The new supercar will be offered in two versions: black and white. Aston Martin DBS UB-2010 Limited Edition


Aston Martin unveiled the special edition DBS UB-2010 at the Geneva Motor Show. This limited edition was built to commemorate Dr. Ulrich Bez's 10th year as Chief Executive of the company. Porsche 918 Spyder Concept


Porsche unveiled the Porsche 918 Spyder concept car at the Geneva Motor Show. It is a mid-engined two-seater that combines the performance of a super-sports car with the CO2 emissions of a small compact. The 918 Spyder is powered by a V8 engine delivering more than 500 hp and three electric motors with overall output of 218hp. Toyota RAV4


The Japanese automaker Toyota has revealed the refreshed RAV4 compact crossover at the Geneva Motor Show.
