2011 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Arabia
 
Now that the Middle East represents 10% of Bentley sales worldwide, the company has decided to throw them a little treat for their loyalty to the brand. Bentley has unveiled two special edition Continental models, designed exclusively for the Middle East market. Both the Continental Flying Spur Arabia and the Continental Flying Spur Speed Arabia are distinguished by some subtle exterior and interior ‘Arabia’ motifs, including an exterior front fender badge, tread plate, and ashtray lid badge – all bearing the Arabia signature. Both models are powered by a 6.0 liter W12 engine, but while the Flying Spur Arabia can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and can hit a top speed of 193 mph, the Flying Spur Speed Arabia delivers a total of 600 HP and sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds, while top speed goes up to 200 mph. The Continental Flying Spur Arabia gets an elegant set of 14-spoke diamond alloy wheels, while the Flying Spur Speed Arabia gets sporty, bright silver, 10-spoke, 20-inch wheels and optional carbon ceramic brakes. Bentley Continental GT Speed and Flying Spur Speed by Renntech
Nature keeps itself in balance. There’s a reason elephants aren’t fast and chetahs aren’t big. But man can sometimes do something completely unnatural and make something great. For example the Bentley Continental GT Speed and Flying Spur Speed are large luxury vehicles that can top 200 mph. Then again Renntech’s president Hartmut Feyhl is a man, too. His company decided that Bentley did not go far enough with the Continental pair. He’s changed the ECU software to increase horsepower from 602 to an even 640. The cost? Well you’re a Bentley owner, so the cost doesn’t matter (but if you slip Mr. Feyhl $5,800 his people will probably get to work on your car.) It seems that the Japanese tuners are beginning to expand their market outside their borders. This is refreshing considering that Japanese style can sometimes offer a unique alternative. Asi, an exclusive Japanese tuner specialized in high-end cars, unveiled today their new body kit for the Bentley Continental Flying Spur.  The development of the kit took nearly a year of meticulous design. The result gives a sleek appearance to the luxury sedan. The kit consists in a front bumper featuring LED winkers, stainless steel mesh, under-grill and carbon fiber lip, new carbon fiber side sills, a stylish trunk spoiler and a rear bumper fitted with stainless steel mesh, wheel house louvres, exhaust cutters and a carbon fiber lip. Bentley Flying Spur by Strut
For the folks who don’t know, Strut is a manufacturer specialised in handcrafted chromed grilles, wheels and accesories for the luxury cars. The grilles you see in the photos belongs to the ”Oxford Collection” which is special built for the Bentley Flying Spur. Strut offers grilles also for the Bentley Continental GT, but these belong to the ”Greenwich Collection". The customized Flying Spur features a primary grille, front air dam intake and a Strut insignia. No words about the price yet! 2009 Bentley Continental Flying Spur and Continental Flying Spur Speed
Bentley today unveiled the 2009 Continental Flying Spur and the new version Spur Speed. The new model is set to deliver even greater levels of refinement, comfort and opportunities for customer personalization.  The Continental Flying Spur is powered by the new Bentley’s 6-litre, twin turbocharged W12 engine, the most compact 12-cylinder engine in production. The 48-valve head employs four camshafts and continually variable valve timing. Power is transmitted via an uprated ZF six-speed automatic transmission. The W12 engine continues to produce 552bhp at 6100 rev/min and a maximum torque of 479lb ft from 1600 rev/min across virtually the entire rev range.  The Speed engine develops 15 percent more torque and nine percent more power than the standard Flying Spur, while engine efficiency is optimised by the use of lower friction, lighter-weight components and a new engine management system. The resultant performance is exceptional, with a top speed of 200mph (322km/h), a zero to 60mph sprint time of just 4.5 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.8s) and effortless overtaking capability. Full story . Renntech, the tuning company specialised in Mercedes vehicles showed that it can customize also other cars, not only the ones produced by the German manufactuer. With the unveiling of the new 600+ hp ECU tuning package Renntech added on its list of customized vehicles the British manufacturer Bentley.  With the new ECU package the engine of the car is boosted from 552 to 625 hp. The tunner also added a lowering module for the Bentley which allows the owners to lower it up to 50 mm. The American manufacturer offers the ECU software upgrade at a price of $6400 for the Bentley Continental GT and Flying Spur and $6800 for the GT Speed coupe while the lowering module is available at a price of $1395. ASI unveils Bentley GT range
Maybe not all of you folks know about the Japanese tuner ASI. Well, ASI is a tuning company specialized in customizing Bentley cars established in Japan. Bentley range received recently a customization program from the Japanese tuning company, a program that not only modifies the interior of the car, but also the exterior and the engine. The vehicles received custom 22” alloy wheels, an aggressive bodykit but also an engine upgrade from 560hp to 640hp as well as brake and suspension kits in order to deliver better handling. ASI is preparing another customized Bentley, called „Tetsu”. The „Tetsu”, with the help of ECU chipping, exhaust modifications and transmission upgrades, will deliver 800hp an will be limited to only 29 units, each at a price of US$600,000. If anyone wants to order their customized Bentley, you have to know that in the USA the cars will be sold through Platinum Motorsport dealer, based in California. Stay tuned, ASI said that it will announce more details at the end of this month.
Robbing in style
London armed robbers arrived outside Graff Jewelers on Sloan Street in a chauffeur driven Bentley Flying Spur, all part of an elaborate ruse, which included dapper clothing, to give them the appearance of wealth and fit in with the store’s clientele. It worked. After spending a bit of time inspecting the merchandise, the robbers displayed handguns and hauled off £10,000,000 worth of jewelry – about $20,000,000.
