At least this experiment work ! Now we can go ! Leaving school, back to my lodgement here in Duesseldorf, where I finish my electro-mechanical engineer studies, and learning a bit of German. Jump in the car, than go south direction Nurburgring Nordschleife.
We plan with Anthony to pass the Friday afternoon there, driving with our car, and of course photo shooting!
Some traffic jam delayed me but I arrive just at the opening time of the track. Anthony is already there and discusses with... Yes, it’s him Laurent Chevalier the best journalist of the French magazine “Sport Auto”, he is here with Greg the photographer and a brand new Gt3!
This is Porsche’s most powerful naturally aspirated 911 ever. Horsepower is set to 415, or 115.3 horses per liter. The 3.6-liter flat six revs to 8400 rpm, 200 more than the previous Porsche 911 GT3, with the peak horsepower coming in at 7600 rpm.

What an awesome car, its lines magnetism me, this perfect shape design, renewed while remaining faithful to his original line… More still present on this new version all these details guided by aerodynamics… So sweet…
Back to the discussion, they are a bit worried, they plan to take photos but they are depending on the marshal tracks. We propose them our assist, they accept.
So we made two shooting lap, one for the front pics of the car, one for the back shape. For that part the professional photographer need to be in the front of the Anthony’s M coupe, so unfortunately I had to go in the cockpit of this wonderful Porsche 415 Bhp fighter… ;-)
First the maintain of the new buckets is largely improved compared to the preceding version, and what a design, inspired by the Carrera Gt…
Second the sound, which master work, amazing, impressive incomparable with what I heard in the old version, magic… Better than a lot of V8, V12 Ferrari… And also better than this 6 cylinder top of the class: the M3 CSL…
In this car you feel like in another world, all is so similar than your best dream…
As we were in shooting mode we have to stay at low speed, consequently the driver won’t be able to show me the handling and the acceleration abilities of this supercar… But you will see that alls come in time for whose can wait…
Good things had an end and we have to leave this wonderful car… For another wonderful car, the famous M3 CSL!
The BMW M3 CSL perfectly combines supreme agility with the ultimate driving experience. Powered by a typical Bmw architecture inline 6, its outstanding power-to-weight ratio of only 3.85 kg/bhp. The engineers at BMW M develop this sports car to be able to break the 8-minute barrier on the track we are talking about: the Nordschleife.
On this wonderful track parking we met a very kind pilot of Csl which agreed to take us with him for a lap. Anthony starts and then it was my turn… Let’s start for 20km of pure happiness, sparkling eyes, the fixed smile… What a brutality, this grip, this gear changes… First, second, third, fourth, brakes, third, turn left, right, acceleration, brakes turn right, acceleration…
What a sound unbelievable… breath-taking… Hearing this straight six screaming at more than 7000 rpm with his metallic voice… Will share with you this experiment as soon as I can record it…
After this beautiful experience, it was time for us to drive a bit in our car. But it was late and the track close his door after two lap only, will do better another time!
Once shooting some “souvenir” pics, we plan to go to eat a pizza in Sabine’s Pistenklause restaurant with the two journalist of “Sport Auto”, but before that another of my dream had to take place…
Laurent, the Gt3 driver journalist allows me to take place in the driver seat of the beast… So I take place, adjust the seat, taking the wheels in my hand… And ask for starting the motor… No problem he says… So I turn the key, listen to this flat six boxer in my back, playing gently with the gas pedal… No inertial delay, that’s the word, this motor nearly revs before you push on the pedal… Awesome… One more time this sound…
Time to go to the restaurant, Laurent propose me to take me for some acceleration on the way to the Pistenklause… (will I have some more dreams at the end of the day?) I let the keys of my “R9 turbo” to Greg the photographer and here we go…
Whosh… This acceleration had no end… more than 250km/h we have to brake, no problem, Porsche calliper, pad and it ceramic disk are there for helping us… Don’t make enough braking phase to test the endurance but the power was there believe me!
Landing on the Pistenklause parking, talking about all this unusual events in one little afternoon behind some pizza slices, nearly head to head with Sabine…
Nurburgring, an incredible place were finding a Ferrari alone on the parking, turning engine, the owner at 50 meters sharing passion with a few guys is normal. Seeing M3 is common, owning a Gt3 is ordinary, coming with your full stock car round the track is also familiar…
But there is a warning, if you plan to go there you must be humble about your driving skills and track knowledge this wonderful place kills, no place here for tourist, or unconscious guys/drivers…
This place is a natural reserve of gentleman driver, it does not matter from where you come, how much you gain, which car you drive, sharing your car passion is the only thing which counts…
As exceptional as we can’t resist to go back there two day later to take some more pics for you!
