Engine

The 202 Islander standard 220 hp V8-power MerCruiser® 5.0L Alpha I engine provides enough power to please even the most enthusiast water sports lover. If 220 hp is not enough to satisfy your need for speed than you can upgrade the 202 Islander engine to a 260 hp MerCruiser® 5.0L MPI Alpha I engine. The engine compartment is laid out so you can easily maintain and reach the oil fill, dipstick, power steering and spark plugs.

Exterior

The 21 feet & 11 inches Baja 202 Islander has a 21 degrees V hull that really makes the boat to carve the curves. In the back of the boat you’ll find a swim platform that makes access from and to the boat easy.

Interior

In the 202’s cockpit you’ll find a full-length bench seat aft of the operator and passenger chairs, which doubles as a storage unit and a sun pad just aft of the bench seat across the transom. The helm is very simple with five clearly visible and easy to read chrome oversized gauges. Every free space available on the boat has been transform in a place to storage your equipment. Even the place where most boat keep an anchor chain locker has been transformed to store an ice chest for refreshments.

Test drive

The 202 Islander equipped with a 260 hp MerCruiser® 5.0L MPI Alpha I engine delivers at 4800 rpm a top speed of 56.8 mph. With a full gas tank you can travel up to 186 miles at a cruising speed of 23 mph. the shape of the hull and its length make this boat easy to handle and very maneuverable.
