Overview

Bavaria Vision 42

First Class Sailing With Two Cabins

With a VISION 42 you can not only experience first class sailing, you will also be a first class sailor! She is a yacht with many options and countless ways to make dreams come true on the water. No other yacht in this size packs this much luxury.

Bavaria Vision 42

Mast base, cleats, blocks, winches, stanchions, cockpit windows, hatches – the list of components that belong to the deck and in the cockpit of a VISION 42 is long. A VISION 42 has over 40 items that the BAVARIA product managers factor in. An efficient deck layout is the result of the many years of experience of the product managers, designers and boat builders at BAVARIA. Each piece of equipment has its proper place on the deck – it is not fitted just anywhere, but to the millimetre exactly there where it is most effective for handling on deck. In the construction of the deck, aluminium sheets are later laminated in crucial areas of the sandwich construction, giving BAVARIA yachts above-average stability. Computer-controlled milling and drilling ensure that positioning is precisely as pre-defined by the product team, again to the nearest millimetre. Tension directions and the weights of halyards and sheets are carefully calculated in advance so that each fitting and each winch is correctly dimensioned when mounted on the deck.

Cockpit ergonomics

The VISION 42 is proof that a cockpit does not necessarily have to be symmetrical. Her well thought through and intelligent layout allows for easy and safe handling under sail with the VISION 42. The winches for the mainsail and the headsail are easily accessible by the helmsman, as are all the important navigation instruments. For relaxing sunbathing, the cockpit table can be lowered to combine with the L-shaped seating on the port side to become a large saloon area. There is also plenty of space for sunbathing behind the two helms – not only for the helmsman.

Interior visions

Guests are always welcome on board a VISION 42. The large galley provides plenty of work space for preparing a substantial meal, even at sea. You are well positioned between the sink and cabinets on the port side when at sea to allow easy cooking. The saloon table can be lowered to the saloon floor to create a large lounging area and the navigation area can be rearranged to become a sofa – on board a VISION 42, this is easily done at the pull of a handle. The master cabin can be fitted with either a large head with shower or a writing and dressing table. There are no limits to what can be envisioned aboard the VISION 42.

TRIM and DOCK CONTROL

Bavaria Vision 42

The aim of the TRIM and DOCK CONTROL systems developed by BAVARIA is to make it possible to sail a yacht of this size with a small crew fast and manoeuvre her safely to any berth in the harbour. The TRIM CONTROL system is based on powerful electric winches that can not only pull the sails tight but also ease them in a controlled manner. A VISION 42 with TRIM CONTROL is tacked with the press of a button, not by human power. In the harbour, DOCK CONTROL ensures precise manoeuvring of the VISION 42. Using a joystick, the engine as well as bow and stern thrusters are controlled and make mooring a breeze.
