The sea trials are underway for the open yachts Itama, Itama Forty and Itama FiftyFive, organised by Bocche di Bonifacio, the exclusive local Itama dealer for the regions of Sardinia, Liguria, Piedmont and Lombardy. The event not to be missed is the Porto Rotondo Boat Show that will take place at Porto Rotondo’s suggestive marina from 25th April to 1st May.
Bocche di Bonifacio Yachting and the Itama shipyard have organised the sea trials with the press for Thursday 26th April at 11.30 am.
The two luxury yachts, stylish and powerful crafts with the timeless Italian design, distinguished by their unmistakable blue hull and white deck, will be available for sea trials, upon appointment, throughout the entire event.
The Itama yachts
The new design, that coincides with the Itama shipyard’s entry into the Ferretti Group at the end of 2004, and that was created by architect Marco Casali, Itama’s yacht designer, maintains its appeal of essentiality in typical Itama style, retaining the deep v-shaped hull which has always been the distinctive guarantee of great seakeeping in these open yachts.
Itama Forty and Itama FiftyFive belong to a line that comprises seven models from 40 ft. to 80 ft., the first two, Itama Forty and Itama FiftyFive, are currently in production. The introduction of the new model Seventy, 70 ft., is expected by the end of the year.
The entire range is built in Itama’s new shipyard in Castelvecchio - Monteporzio (Pesaro e Urbino) in the Marches region.
Itama FiftyFive, launched in 2006, can accommodate up to 12 people. The open yacht has two 1100 HP MAN Common Rail engines, in V-drive, with estimated speeds of 37 knots at full speed and 35 at cruising speed. This excellent performance is made possible partly by the lines of the hull, characterized by the now famous highly prominent v-shape: a new more dynamic trim, with a higher bow and a more slender stern than in the past. The new deck, thanks to increased curves in the profile line, enhance the sporty nature of a boat which, among other things, is characterized by its performance at sea.
The layout of the FiftyFive offers 3 cabins – a master cabin, a VIP cabin and a double – and 3 en suite bathrooms, a spacious dinette with kitchen and a sailor’s cabin with its own bathroom at the stern with independent access from the cockpit.
The interior furnishings are elegant: with zebra-stripes, ostrich skin and alcantara that make the yacht precious and comfortable.
The Itama Forty is a day cruiser that can accommodate up to 8 people on board. Its aerodynamic and essential lines have the aggressiveness and uniqueness characteristic of Itama, with the unmistakable 22° deep v-shaped hull that guarantees unbeatable seakeeping. The Itama Forty has a maximum speed of 35 knots, driven by two 450 HP MAN engines that guarantee high performance, making it a powerful and reliable open that is perfectly balanced.
The layout below deck has a refined and essential design coupled with large and modular spaces. This model, characterized by a master cabin in the bow, a bathroom and large dinette with hidden galley, is available in two versions, with one or two cabins.
