Earthrace crew finished the repairs and prepares for a new attempt to break the world record in 2008. Like before the previous attempt to break the record they will begin whit a world tour that promotes the biodiesel fuel.
The logistics coordinator Allison Thompson said last month: “We intend to get underway and head north as soon as Earthrace is launched, look for us initially in the Baltic starting 19 July at the Halmstad, Maritime Festival”.
The mission of Earthrace in each port of the Tour is to:
Promote awareness, education and use of renewable fuels
Film positive marine environmental initiatives
Provide voyages for supporters and sponsors
Showcase sponsor products and services
Display renewable fuel information
Provide public tours of the boat
