Earthrace crew finished the repairs and prepares for a new attempt to break the world record in 2008. Like before the previous attempt to break the record they will begin whit a world tour that promotes the biodiesel fuel. The logistics coordinator Allison Thompson said last month: “We intend to get underway and head north as soon as Earthrace is launched, look for us initially in the Baltic starting 19 July at the Halmstad, Maritime Festival”. Now that the 32nd America’s Cup has finished everyone is thinking about the next edition. So the officials of the America’s Cup decided to reveal some of the protocol for the next edition. Among the highlights was the introduction of a new class of boat, to be 90 feet in length overall, sailed by a crew of around 20 sailors.
