Australian luxury boat builder, Mustang Marine, is pleased to announce that two of its latest model initiatives have been short listed as finalists in the 2007 Australian Marine Industries Federation Boat of the Year Awards – the MPV3000 sports cruiser, and the new M43 Sports Flybridge.
It has been a busy 15 months for the team at Mustang who continue to work tirelessly to grow the business and the brand since the Management Buyout in December 2005. Since then the company has released the 3000 sports cruiser, the MPV3000, and introduced a new range of sports flybridge vessels to the fleet including the M37 and the M43.
"It has been a hectic yet successful time for the company as we follow our strategic road map. The announcement that two of our new release models are among the best in the country is a great reward for the entire Mustang team". Reports proud Mustang CEO, Paul Scanlon.
Designed for those who like to stand out from the crowd, the MPV3000 is the first offering from the newly formed Mustang Performance Vessels division. Based on the Mustang 3000sc, the limited edition vessel flaunts a fiery red and silver livery, carbon fibre air intakes and dash, high performance MerCruiser MAG 496 engine with DTS controls and silent-choice exhaust system, upgraded stereo system, Momo steering wheel, redesigned targa arch, customized upholstery, and a host of added options. The MPV3000 is a finalist in the "Cruisers <32 ft." category.
The success of Mustang Marine’s recently released Sports Flybridge range has been boosted with the announcement of the M43 as a finalist in the Sports Fisher category of the AMIF Boat of the Year Awards. The M43 has received rave reviews since its release in December 2006, gracing the cover of several International publications and attracting strong international demand. The M43 Sports Flybridge is a hybrid of luxury and function offering a contemporary internal design including aft galley, Nyotah timber fit-out with satin finish, European styled leather lounges, and quality appointments. Outside, the user-friendly cockpit is well fitted and includes bait tanks, toe kicks, rod cabinet, large lazarette storage, tackle cabinets, and reinforcement for game chair.
The AMIF Awards will be presented on Thursday 24th May in conjunction with the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. Both Mustang Marine finalists will be on display at the show along with Mustang’s largest ever Boat Show range totaling fourteen boats.
