Preparations are underway for the running of the 2007 Sydney International Boat Show.
2007 will be the 40th time the Boating Industry Association of NSW has run the event, starting in 1968 after breaking away from the show that used to also encompass the Motor and Caravanning industries.
The dates for this years event will be August 2 to August 7, with the show operating from 10 AM daily and closing at 6 PM on the Marina and 8 PM for the vast hall displays.
The Sydney Show has become the "must-visit" event for boating enthusiasts in the Pacific region. The shows growth over the past decade has placed it at the forefront of activities within the recreational marine industry, which use the event to release their latest products in preparation for the summer.
The Sydney International Boat Show will take place at its traditional home in Darling Harbour Sydney, covering all 28,000 M2 of the undercover exhibition halls as well as the now famous specially built marina in Cockle Bay only 2 minutes walk from the exhibition halls.
Domenic Genua, the events marketing manager says, " Early indications are that we will fill the halls and surpass last years record of 305 vessels on the marina. Being our 40th birthday, we are working to make sue that this event is one to remember".
