The Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra 260X is a modern watercraft powered by a strong supercharged, intercooled, 4-stroke In-Line four engine with a displacement of 1,498 cm3. Thanks to its supercharger, the engine rewards you with instant throttle response and develops a maximum output of 191 kW 260 PS at 7,750 rpm and 240 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm.
The engine breaths trough a modern 4-into-2-into-1 powerboat-style exhaust system especially designed to allow a smooth flow for the exhaust gases.
To help you use the entire power generated by the engine, the Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra 260X is equipped with Kawasaki’s Smart Steering system that automatically adjusts engine speed and thrust while cornering to improve the maneuverability.
In terms of comfort, the Kawasaki Jet Ski 260X offers a narrow seat, a long rear boarding step and 5-way adjustable handlebars.

In making the JET SKI ULTRA 260X the ultimate personal watercraft, we used a potent direct-drive Roots-type air-pump system that constantly is supercharging the intake mixture. The system pressurises the engine’s inlet tract up to 1.74 times atmospheric pressure - or 11.4 psi. Delivering more air means more oxygen is available for more powerful combustion. But since compressed air builds heat, a massive aluminium intercooler drops the air charge right down to ambient temperature. Now that’s powerful engineering.
Kawasaki reasserts its claim to the personal watercraft throne with the Ultra 260X. A direct descendant to the previous King of Jet Ski watercraft, the supercharged Ultra 250X, this model utilizes new pistons, cams, exhaust system, ignition timing, jet pump and a reinforced hull to produce a mind boggling 260 horsepower* and reclaim its place atop the watercraft world.
Highly developed sponsons minimise porpoising to provide stable straight-line performance while helping to retain the machine’s narrow overall design. They also contribute significantly to the Ultra 260X’s responsive handling when changing direction, particularly at higher speeds.
New, high-flow fuel injectors with 4 orifices are fitted to complement the increased power output and to improve combustion efficiency. A single throttle body is used with a bore diameter of 60 mm.

Supercharged and Intercooled
The Ultra 260X’s liquid-cooled 1,498 cm3, In-line 4-cylinder engine gets new pistons to boost compression. The new cams and ignition along is with a supercharger and intercooler, give the Ultra 260X an output of 260 PS reclaiming the title as the most powerful production PWC in the world.
Large Capacity Storage
The large-capacity, fully sealed 200-litre storage area has plenty of room for recreational equipment. A detachable storage compartment is also fitted.
To suit the 155 mm jet pump, the Ultra 260X gets a new impeller featuring revised pitch to match the increased power output of the engine for better acceleration performance.
Race Bred Hull Design
Designed using feedback from Kawasaki’s IJSBA Championship winning machines, the hull is longer and wider than that of the STX-15F and offers the industry’s best stability responsive handling in calm and rough water. Deep 22.5 degree V-angle at the bottom of the hull provides better "grip" for racing like performance.
To effectively convert the 260 PS output into thrust, the Ultra 260X utilises a 155mm jet pump, designed using eight guide vanes. The pump delivers superior ?traction? in rough water conditions and significantly contributes to the Ultra 260X?s mind-boggling acceleration.
Extended Cruising Range
Offering more fuel capacity than any machine in its class, the Ultra 260X?s 78-litre fuel tank holds 14 litres more than the JET SKI STX-15F, making long distance cruising even more accessible and inviting.
Kawasaki Smart Steering
Designed to assist inexperienced riders, the Kawasaki Smart Steering system is electronically linked to an on-board microprocessor and automatically adjusts engine speed and thrust while cornering to ensure a smooth, controlled turn.
Rear Boarding Step
A long rear boarding step makes it easy to climb on board in deep water. When not in use, the step retracts neatly inside the bumper to prevent entanglement or damage.
Body Flange & Bumper
The bottom of the hull slants upwards steeply from the centre section to the bow, allowing the Ultra 260X to penetrate swells and waves with less shock. At low speeds the result is great stability; at higher speeds the Ultra 250X?s massive thrust enables the hull to push through waves rather than bounce over the top of them.
The Ultra 260X features a 4-into-2-into-1 powerboat-style exhaust system, which routes the exhaust pipe upwards. This allows the smoothest flow for exhaust gases, maximising exhaust efficiency.
The Ultra 260X features Kawasaki?s innovative electronic Smart Learning Operation (SLO) system which can be programmed to speed-limit the engine to assist novice riders in mastering their riding technique without worrying about excessive speeds.
Kawasaki Splash Deflectors (KSD) deflect water splashing forward from under the hull. Whether turning or blasting straight ahead, at high speeds or low, the Quattro KSD minimises spray for enhanced ride comfort.
Silent Cleaning System
The Ultra 260X features a silent cleaning system to purge sea water used to cool the engine. Because operation can be done with the seat still fitted, it is virtually noiseless. Fitting a separate connecting tube is quick and easy.
The handlebars are 5-way adjustable and suit a wide range of riders and riding styles. The relatively narrow seat is very comfortable for either stand-up or seated riding, as well as for passengers.
