Supercharged, 1812cc, 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, DOHC engine

Yamaha FZR

The supercharged, intercooled, 4-stroke 1812cc engine is the largest displacement ever in a personal watercraft–and the only engine in this category designed to run on regular unleaded fuel. The FZR delivers eye-popping acceleration and awesome high-speed performance –the sort to really get your adrenaline pumping!

Race-inspired hull

Yamaha FZR

The specially designed, lightweight NanoXcel® hull delivers optimum performance in changeable water conditions. The round keel offers nimble turning performance, all the while reducing rider load. The bow is perfectly formed to provide natural handling, added agility, and unprecedented predictability. So rider is connected to water like never before.

Sport-bolstered seat design

Yamaha FZR

An exceptional standard of comfort and a great feeling of security are the result of this ergonomically designed and contoured seat. Its sport-bolstered shape also gives added support, especially during the more adventurous and extreme sea conditions we know our offshore riders love so much.

Unique telescopic steering

Yamaha FZR

Water conditions change quickly, so you’ll appreciate the FZR’s telescopic steering column, which means you can adjust your riding stance to match them. Adopt the classic, attack-minded forward-leaning position –or stand up for extra ride comfort in choppy waters. Switching naturally between the two positions is easy and instinctive.

Quick-Shift Trim System (Q.S.T.S.)®

Yamaha FZR

A comfortable twist-grip offers smooth, click-by-click control of five trim positions within a 24º range. Totally unique to Yamaha, the Q.S.T.S.® system helps riders make tight turns by allowing almost instant changes of trim onthe-fly.

80 litres of storage with large glove box and cup holders

Yamaha FZR

Plenty of space for a change of clothes - and for masks, snorkels and fins - things you need when cruising. The handy glove box is a practical place to store smaller personal items you need access to when on the move and has also been designed
for use as cup holders, so you can always have a refreshing drink to hand.
