The American automaker Dodge has announced that its models might be sold wearing Alfa Romeo badges in Europe. Fiat and Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne said that all Dodge models might be sold as Alfa Romeos in Europe, and all Alfa Romeo models as Dodges in the U.S. The cross breeding of cutures would certainly make for an interesting lineup. There is a new hybrid super car coming from Japan that is set to debut sometime next year. If all goes well Tong Jian will be remembered amongst the greats such as Enzo Ferrari and Ferdinand Porsche; except for one thing Tong Jian is a Chinese figure skater. The exotic Italian dream machine maker, Lamborghini, has just released a new image gallery of the Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder that was unveiled last year at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. You may have known that McLaren was preparing the P11 supercar, but what you may not have known is that the company also plans to use hybrid technology for its future road going super cars. A McLaren spokesman said: "It (hybrid technology) is something we want as a forward-thinking, technology-driven company. We have been considering it for future projects. The Dutch built Spyker C8 Aileron was unveiled back at the Geneva Motor Show in production trim. The first models have already made their way out the showroom doors and on to the streets of Europe. Due to the public's warm reception to the Audi A5 Sportback, the German luxury automaker is also planning to bring out four-door coupe version of their A7 limousine by the end of 2010. The new Audi A7 will compete directly with models like the Mercedes Benz CLS, Porsche Panamera and Aston Martin Rapide. The German automaker BMW has confirmed that the next generation of their entry level 3-Series will also get a GT version to follow the current 5-Series GT. The new model is officialy set to be unveiled in 2011. The new 3-Series GT will be placed between 3 and 5-Series models set to compete with models like the Audi A4 Avant. According to BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer: "We haven't cancelled the crossover of the 3 Series, as it is considered a volume builder with which we can earn good money." (...)
