Scion announced today that the third limited-production Scion for 2008, the xD Release Series 1.0 (xD RS 1.0), will be available at dealer showrooms beginning in June.
The 2008 xD RS 1.0 features Hot Lava exterior paint. This first limited edition xD will turn heads with a DAMD body kit, rear spoiler, Release Series wheel covers and TRD lowering springs. Inside, the xD RS 1.0 will feature Hot Lava accented seats and interior trim, and a RAZO Release Series shift knob. Like all Release Series vehicles, an individually numbered badge completes the uniqueness of this vehicle.
Only 2,000 units of the xD RS 1.0 will be built. The xD RS 1.0 model will carry a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $1,999 over the base price of the xD. The manual transmission xD carries a base MSRP of $14,550, while the MSRP for the automatic transmission model is $15,350.
The delivery, processing and handling (DPH) fee for all Scion models is $620 and is not included in the MSRP. DPH fees for vehicles distributed by Southeast Toyota (SET) and Gulf States Toyota (GST) may vary.
Ford today unveiled the 2009 Focus Coupe on American’s hottest television show – “American Idol.” The 2009 Focus Coupe will go on sale later this summer at a MSRP that starts at $15,920.
The 2009 Focus Coupe is equipped with a 2.0-liter, Duratec 20 dual-overhead-cam (DOHC), inline 4-cylinder engine that delivers 143 horsepower when mated to a five-speed manual transmission and 140 horsepower when paired with a four-speed automatic transmission.
Also available is a super-clean, 130-horsepower Duratec 20E engine that qualifies Focus as a Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV). The 20E’s tailpipe emissions are cleaner than some hybrid gas-electric vehicles’. The Duratec 20 and 20E in Focus Coupe are mated to a five-speed manual transmission and achieve EPA-estimated fuel economy of 35 mpg.
The high-end Focus SES will feature a standard high-mounted spoiler that is incorporated into the design of the roof. The high-mounted design contributes to Focus’ overall muscular stance. A decklid spoiler will remain part Zf the Focus SE exterior design.
Scion announced today pricing for the 2009 model year xB urban utility vehicle and tC sports coupe. The xB will arrive at dealerships later this month while the tC will arrive in May.
After a major model change in 2008, the xB carries over with only a change in exterior color. Stingray Metallic replaces Nautical Blue Metallic. The base MSRP for the iconic xB is $15,750 when equipped with a five-speed manual transmission and $16,700 for the four-speed automatic with sequential shifting. Prices for both configurations represent an increase of $100 or 0.6 percent.
The sporty 2009 tC also carries over with one change, updated seat fabric. Prices for both the automatic and manual transmission remain the same as the 2008 models. The tC equipped with a five-speed manual transmission has a base MSRP of $17,000, while the four-speed automatic transmission model carries an MSRP of $17,800.
Mazda USA today revealed the pricing for the all-new Mazda3: pricing start at $13,895 for the i Sport M/T, and tops out at $21,145 for the s Grand Touring A/T model.
The i Touring Model is replaced by i Touring Value model offered in two different versions: $16,595 for the five-speed M/T and $17,495 for the four-speed A/T.
All Grand Touring models produced in 2008 come with a standard six-way power driver’s seat, and all MAZDA3 2.3-liter models and MAZDASPEED3 models receive an interior freshening.

Pricing start at $18,795 for the Sonata GLS and go up to $26,345 for the Sonata Limited.

The 2008 tC RS 4.0 will feature Galactic Gray Mica exterior paint and will come with VIP-themed enhancements. A DAMD body kit and upper grille will make this tC standout. A color-keyed rear spoiler will also be available. Inside, the tC RS 4.0 will have gray and black Alcantara® seats, “tC RS 4.0” embroidered on the front and rear seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a black leather and dark wood RAZO shift knob.
Toyota announced manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) today for the all-new 2009 Corolla and Matrix, along with the 2008 FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Special Edition. The Corolla base MSRP will range from $15,250 to $19,950 while the Matrix will range from $16,190 to $21,850. MSRPs do not include a delivery, processing and handling fee of $660. Both models will begin arriving at dealerships next month.
