Mitsubishi Motors Corporation today debuts the Outlander EX*1 on-road Sport Utility Vehicle at the Beijing Motor Show 2006. The show is being held from November 18 (November 21 for the general public). Also on display are the Lancer Evolution IX high-performance 4WD sports sedan that went on sale in China this October, the Mitsubishi Concept-Sportback that shows how a next-generation sportback concept car may look, and the Eclipse Spyder that is currently selling very strongly in the North American Market. In total, the company is showing 7 vehicles.

The Audi R8 Audi R8 and the TT Coupé are taking centre stage in the Audi brand’s line-up at the Beijing Motor Show (19/11/2006 to 27/11/2006). The dragon is the theme of the Audi stand, which also showcases the Audi A6L with two new engines, the V8 4.2 FSI and the 3.2 FSI. We have seen a huge rise the use of speed cameras in the UK, in fact there are more than 6000 speed cameras on active duty on UK roads and there are plans to bring in more and more, why? It has to be the £20 million they raise each year.

Nissan Motor Company today announced the launch of an all-new vehicle – the Livina Geniss – for Chinese consumers. First unveiled at the Guangzhou motorshow in July, the Livina Geniss is the first model from Nissan’s new family of global cars that will continue to drive Nissan’s growth strategy into the Chinese market. Levina Geniss will be manufactured at Huadu plant and will go on sale in November 2006.

The new flagship model in the Maybach line-up, the newly developed Maybach 62 S, is celebrating its world premiere at the Auto China 2006 international motor show in Beijing this November – a move which further expands the brand’s range of high-end luxury saloons. Daihatsu announced that it will exhibit the D-01 prototype, which is scheduled to go on sale in mid-2007, and other vehicles at Auto China 2006 (Beijing Motor Show). The motor show will be held from November 18 to 27 at the China International Exhibition Center and the National Agricultural Exhibition Center.

Volkswagen has revealed the Neeza concept car at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. The Neeza concept is a crossover between a sports coupé and an estate with an off-road appearance, and has been designed in China for China. The study combines Chinese and German design philosophies, signifying the future of new models from Shanghai Volkswagen. Produced with Chinese culture, tastes and requirements firmly in mind, it is a mix of traditional Chinese and modern European features.
