Mitsubishi is celebrating its 30th anniversary on the North American market by lifting the veil from a limited-edition model based on the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport .

The 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Limited Edition distinguishes itself from the rest of the 2013 Outlander Sport lineup with an exterior package that includes blackout side mirrors, center bumper, wheel arch trim and roof rails. There is also a set of special argent Limited Edition alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the only modifications include new two-tone Dove Grey and Black leather seating surfaces. Lots of "Limited Edition" badges remind us again that we are looking at a special edition.

Under the Limited Edition’s hood is the usual 2.0-liter in-line 4-cylinder engine that delivers a total of 148 horses and a 145 pound-feet of torque. However, for this special edition Mitsubishi installed a new engine balancer shaft that helps reduce the rolling resistance inside the engine, resulting in smoother and quicker acceleration.

The new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Limited Edition will be produced at the company’s assembly plant in Normal, Illinois.

The 2013 Honda Civic Coupe made its world debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show . Sporting significant changes to the exterior and interior, the Civic Coupe aims to impress the younger buyers that are seeking an exciting 2-door coupe on a budget.

"Our industry has never been more competitive or fast changing, and a significant refresh of Civic, America’s best-selling compact car, just one model year after its debut as an all-new model shows true speed to market," said John Mendel, American Honda executive vice president of Sales. "Our corporate direction is to provide our customers with great products with speed, affordability and low CO2 emissions. There is no better example of this direction than today’s introduction of the 2013 Honda Civic."

With strong words like those, Honda is obviously adamant on continuing Civic ‘s success in the U.S. market. For the success of any vehicle, the design, powertrain and the price must impress buyers – lip service just won’t do. Does the Honda Civic Coupe impress us?

A few days ago, Lexus announced that they would be headed to the 2012 Paris Auto Show with a new concept car, and as promised, the company has released the first details and images on this new concept ahead of schedule. The new LF-CC is an evolution of the LF-LC 2+2 Sports Coupe Concept which debuted at the Detroit show earlier this year, but the new concept comes with rear-wheel drive and full hybrid power.

The new Lexus LF-CC Concept displays the latest evolution of Lexus’ L-finesse design language and it also previews a new premium mid-size Lexus coupe set to be unveiled in the near future (aka the successor to the SC sports coupe ). The concept features the same powertrain that will be used in the eventual production version, which is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder DOHC petrol engine combined with a compact, high-output electric motor which takes its power from a high-performance battery. Specifications for the new hybrid system will be announced at a later date.

UPDATE 09/20/2012: Following the release of the first official details on the new Lexus LF-CC Concept, the first promo video of the concept has been released. Stay tuned as all of the official details will follow at the 2012 Paris Auto Show next week!.

UPDATE 11/30/2012: In a recent interview with AutoCar, a senior Lexus engineer confirmed that the company is indeed planning a production version of the LF-CC and it will arrive on the market in 2015. The LF-CC will fill the gap left by the previous SC model, which was discontinued in 2010. The production version of the LF-CC will be offered in both coupe and convertible versions, and will be built on the same platform as the new IS and GS models. We’re not too sure if the LF-CC will look identical to the concept model, but we anticipate that it won’t be too far from it. (AutoCar)

Last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Mercedes was unveiled the third generation ML63 AMG . Now for the Essen Motor Show, Brabus has prepared the B63-620 performance kit for the luxury SUV. The kit includes both exterior and interior updates, and an extra group of ponies under the hood.

Under the hood, Brabus installed a plug-and-play PowerXtra module and a stainless-steel sport exhaust system with butterfly valve. As a result the standard 518 horsepower output can be increased by either 60 or 95 horsepower, depending on the customer’s wishes. In both versions, peak torque has been increased to 604 pound-feet. With all of this extra power, the SUV will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds and will hit a top speed of either 174 or 186 mph, depending on the horsepower number the customer chooses.

With all of that extra power, Brabus just couldn’t sit there and leave the body and interior alone. Brabus installed new carbon-fiber parts, including a new front and rear spoilers, new side air inlets, and a new centrally placed diffuser. The ML63 AMG sits on a set of wheels sized 22 inches and, which come in a variety of designs: five wheel designs, Monoblock VI, E, G "Platinum Edition", Q and R.

The interior has also been updated with the finest leather and Alcantara. There is also a new speedometer added with a 225 mph dial.

The 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show was the location for two Mazda6 reveals. First was the North American debut of the new-generation Mazda6, which we all knew was coming. The second was a little less expected, as Mazda also made the official announcement that a racing version of the new Mazda6 will make its motorsports debut at the Rolex 24 endurance race on January 26 and 27, 2013 in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The racing version of the Mazda6 will feature a Mazda SKYACTIV-D clean diesel engine that will deliver more than 400 horsepower. This will mark the first time a diesel-powered vehicle raced at the Rolex 24.

John Doonan, Motorsports Director at Mazda North American Operations, noted that: "We have been eager to announce this car for months, but had to wait until the production car was revealed. The SpeedSource engineering team, working with the Mazda engineers, have been flat out for months on engine development. We’re happy to report that the engine is meeting the performance targets for both power and endurance. That means 400+ hp for over 50 hours, with an engine that includes a very long list of production Mazda parts. This is not a pure race engine; it is a production block SKYACTIV-D. We’re excited about having our newest engine powering our newest car."

We’re sure this will bring much-needed attention to not just the Mazd6, but the entire Mazda brand. We hope the Mazda6 racecar performs well.

Designed with urban Californians in mind, the Hyundai Veloster C3 Roll Top concept was unveiled during a press conference at the Los Angeles Auto Show, today. SoCal is certainly a fitting place to unveil the C3, given its residents can make great use of its key feature.

For those who don’t know what the Hyundai Veloster is, it’s basically a stretched hatchback that borrows inspiration from some of the sleekest coupes on the market. The car mainly targets younger buyers looking for a 3-door car with a 2-door look and a design that sets itself apart from the rest. It’s for people who would want the power and urban feel of a Mini Cooper S but in a less costly, Korean-built package.

The Veloster C3 aims to combine open-air freedom with the style of a coupe and the functionality of a hatchback. Hyundai claims that it rolls the best of both worlds into one amazing package. Let’s find out how “amazing” this package is.

The new generation Volkswagen Beetle made its debut back in 2011 at the New York Auto Show and the cabrio version will arrive almost two years later at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. Sales on the US market will begin at the end of 2012.

The third generation Beetle Cabrio features a sportier and more dynamic silhouette - just like with the coupe version and is equipped with a traditional soft-top that can be opened and closed just in 10 seconds at the push of a button at speeds up to 30 mph.

When compared to the coupe version, the new Cabrio will be distinguished by strengthened A-pillars and an "Automatic Rollover Support System" that offers better protection in case of a crash.

The US customers will have to choose between three different engines, two petrol and one diesel with power ranging from 140 HP to 240 HP. The three engines can be mated to with either a six-speed manual or DSG automatic.

UPDATE 11/29/12: Volkswagen has released the pricing details for the Beetle Cabriolet and all its trim models. Check out how much they’ll cost after the jump. We have added a series of new images and two new video.

The all-new Jaguar F-Type made its North American debut today at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. Alongside this much-anticipated model, Jaguar also unveiled the "Firesand" version. This version is based on a standard F-Type V-6 S model and demonstrates the range of personalization options that are available for customers.

As it name suggests, this version features Firesand paintwork — available as a special order paint — and comes equipped with the two optional packages: “Design” and both exterior and interior “Black” packs. This “Black” pack adds a more aggressive look to the F-Type, thanks to a gloss-black paint applied to the grille and its surround, and the side power vent surround and mesh.

The V-6 S version is powered by a supercharged V-6 engine that delivers a total of 380 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque at 3,500 to 5,500 rpm. It can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds and goes up to a top speed of 171 mph.

The next-generation Volkswagen Beetle Cabrio made its North American debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, and Volkswagen decided to put next to it a series of three special edition models that each reflect the style of a decade: the 50s, the 60s and the 70s.

The first of the three special models is the "50s Edition" and it comes with a special set of 17-inch Circle Black alloy wheels and chrome door mirrors. It is painted in Monochrome Black combined with a black soft top.

Next there is the "60s Edition." This version is inspired by the style of the 1960s. It comes in either Denim Blue or Candy White combined with a black soft top.

Finally, the most elegant version is the "70s Edition." It comes in either Toffee Brown Metallic or Platinum Grey Metallic exterior color combined with a beige-colored soft top and leather sport seats.

The 2013 Beetle Cabrio, and these special editions, will be put on sale at the end of November 2012.

The anticipated reveal of the replacement for the Acura RL has finally made its debut at the 2012 New York International Auto Show. The all-new Acura RLX will make its production debut in early-2013, as a 2014 model year, giving Honda’s luxury lineup a head start for 2014.

We were all starting to wonder exactly what was in store for the RLX, since Acura announced its debut. Some of the questions that arose were around its power plant and whether or not this would simply be a restyled RL with an “X” on the end of its nameplate.

Acura answered all of those pertinent questions and then some at the auto show, as it pulled the sheet off of the new RLX and surprised everyone with a vehicle that bears little to no resemblance to its predecessor, something Honda Motor Company does not typically do. For the most part, Hondas tend to evolve rather slowly, with the exception of the latest Civic model, and rarely do we see big-time changes.

This all-new sedan is set to do battle with two newly redesigned imports, both of which debuted at the same auto show. On one side, you have the completely refreshed Toyota Avalon and on the other side, you have the redesigned Lexus ES 300h .

Can the RLX possibly fend off these two sister vehicles?

UPDATE 02/20/2013: Acura announced today pricing list for the 2014 RLX set to go on sale at a starting price of $48,450. Still, the car can get pretty expensive when adding an Advance Package; in this case price will start from $60,450.
