It’s not quite the Toyota GT 86 , but it still has the dimensions of a cute little sports car , possibly even a precursor to a future rival for the Mazda MX-5 .

Or maybe not.

Either way, Toyota ’s Aqua C Air Roadster Concept looks the part of a fun car to drive, even if the reported performance numbers aren’t exactly what you’d call impressive.

As part of the Japanese automaker’s fleet that will be heading to the Tokyo Motor Show , the Aqua C Air Roadster Concept is a hybrid roadster that could very well be a preview of what a future hybrid roadster from Toyota may look like.

Seeing as the concept has been slotted as a B-segment vehicle, the Aqua C Air Roadster Concept only measures 3,990 mm (157 inches) long, 1,690 mm (66.5 inches) wide and 1,440 mm (56.7 inches) tall, with a wheelbase of 2,550 mm (100.4 inches). Doesn’t exactly inspire size and strength, does it?

Nevertheless, the roadster concept is also powered by a sophisticated powertrain that includes a 1.5-liter Atkinson-cycle engine and an electric motor. Taken together, the engine can produce up to 100 horsepower, while netting a fuel efficiency rating of 83.2 mpg.

An auto show as big as SEMA is bound to have some cars that fall through our cracks. But hey, better late than never, right?

At its core, this is a 2014 Ford Mustang , but once you add in all the layers, including the work put in by Mustang tuner extraordinaire Roush Performance, this Mustang is turned into a pretty ridiculous racecar that’s been dubbed the 2014 Roush Performance Mustang RS3 for Road Racing World Challenge.

Beginning next year, this fantastic racer will be part of the grid at the Pirelli World Challenge series’ GTS class and Roush Performance really went to town to ensure that it has the performance credentials to be a serious contender in the racing series.

The most noticeable upgrade is definitely the aesthetic work, which includes a new livery that was created as an homage to Jack Roush Jr.’s personal track car. A slew of aerodynamic enhancements were also given to the Mustang, highlighted by the massive rear wing and a colorful set of wheels that really add to the explosive color of the muscular racer.

But the real highlight of this Mustang racecar is the extensive engine upgrade Roush Performance put into it. Using its Stage 3 Mustang package, which includes an R2300 supercharger with Eaton Twin Vortices Series (TVS) technology and Roush’s High-Efficiency Intercooler, and an OE-level PCM Calibration, the tuner was able to increase the car’s output to an impressive 575 horsepower and 505 pound-feet of torque.

Add a Ford Racing "Aluminator" Engine and a Phase 2 program and the output increases to 625 horsepower. A similar addition, but this time with a Phase 3 program and you’re looking at an output of 675 horsepower, more than enough, we reckon, to be a serious competitor.

We’ve brought you all the important details about Cadillac’s newest flagship SUV: the totally new 2015 Escalade and Escalade ESV. Now we bring you live images and our first impressions of the beastly, all-American luxury SUV.

Over the weekend at the Miami International Auto Show , we had the chance to climb inside the completely redesigned Escalade to see the improvements first hand. The Escalade is based on its GM cousins, the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban , along with the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL. Across the board, the interiors are much improved in regards to roominess and use of space. Finally for the first time, the full-size General Motors SUVs have folding rear seats that allow for a flat load floor.

The second row has grown two inches in the footwell for added ease of entry and exit for taller, larger-footed passengers. Their height won’t be a problem inside either, as headroom is quite generous throughout the cabin. The Escalade we sampled was equipped with the second-row captains chairs. The center aisle was wide enough for easy access to the third row and the nearly flat floor kept tripping hazards to the minimum.

Up front, the driver is treated to the same huge TFT display found in the Cadillac CTS and XTS. Real wood trim is abundant and contrasts nicely with the soft leather seating. Fit and finish is unmatched by any Cadillacs of past. Gaps and seams were tight even and intricate details abound throughout the cabin. The details continue outside with etched Cadillac crests appearing within the clear plastic tail lamps.

Such details were a welcome addition to what will assuredly be a home run for General Motors.

If Jeff Gordon can have his own Chevrolet SS signature model at SEMA , there’s no reason for Chevrolet to tap another famous NASCAR driver to have his own model too, right?

That, apparently, was the prevailing thought at the Bowtie headquarters and to answer that question, the company enlisted Tony Stewart ’s help to develop a custom Chevrolet Silverado .

It seems appropriate that the man known as "Smoke" can have his imprint on a pickup truck with the torque-twisting power of the Silverado. It certainly takes a pickup the stature of the Silverado to live up to Stewart’s brash and go get-’em driving style on the track and the marriage couldn’t have been made any better.

The concept itself is based on the 2014 Silverado LTZ Z71, and it was designed with an exterior that comes with a Dark Tarnished Silver color, tinted headlights and taillights, and plenty of unique graphics that point back to the man who has won three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series titles.

A handful of Chevrolet Accessories components, a lot of which are available through Chevy dealers, were also used on the concept, including a tonneau cover, four-inch chrome assist steps and a set of 22-inch wheels with a custom finish.

The interior modifications are limited to just Stewart’s signature embroidered on the headrests, but make no mistake, this concept Silverado has the likeness of Smoke all the way through.
