The 2008 SEMA Show is coming and the manufacturers begin to tease about what will show up. The latest manufacturer that announced its presence at the show is AC Schnitzer in cooperation with their partner for North America, the Claus Ettensberger Corporation (CEC). The German tuning house will be its latest creations like the newly designed X6 Falcon and the new BMW X5.
We know how important good wheels are (mstly because they look good.) In order to sustain this AC Schnitzer, the German tuner specialized in BMW vehicles, unveiled today the Type VII Wheel, a new model designed exclusively for the Bmw X5 and X6. The new wheels come in 22 inch dimensions, feature a ten spoke design and can be bought in two colors called Sinful black and Radient silver. No word yet on pricing.
AC Schnitzer, the German tuner specialized in tuning Bmw vehicles, unveiled today a new gear knob for almost all the Bmw and Mini models fitted with manual transmission. Of course, this isn’t any ordinary gear knob because it is fitted with a display that actually shows you in what gear you are due to a display with red digits that is perfectly visible under all lighting angles. Unfortunately we have no data regarding the price of this special gear knob!

Tired of your Bmw’s M-Pack aero kit? If you are, we got great news. AC Schnitzer released a new body kit specially created for the BMW 1-Series vehicles fitted with the M-Pack. The new kit consists in a front lip spoiler, new side sills, and a new stylish rear bumper featuring a rear air diffuser with integrated exhaust system. The body kit is completed with the 19-inch alloy wheels featuring AC Schnitzer’s signature design.
The tuning company offers not only has new upgrades like a new suspension system, but also some engine improvements like the 135i’s engine can be upgraded from 306 to 360 hp. No words about the price yet.
Once again, AC Schnitzer, the German tuning company from Aachen, surprised us with their new version of the Bmw M3 Cabriolet. For those who don’t know, the vehicle is powered by the 4.0 liter V8 engine capable to develop 420 hp, but this remained for the moment untouched. For the body kit we can’t say the same thing: a new front lip spoiler was mounted together with new chromed insertions for the front grille, as well as new side sills.
At the rear of the car a new carbon fiber air diffuser was mounted in order to improve the stability. Also new 20" Type V lightweight forged rims were mounted together with the new 8-pot high performance braking system by AC Schnitzer. At the interior aluminum was used for the gear knob, handbrake handle, pedals and i-Drive controller. No words about the price or when it may be available in the U.S.
With the new Falcon, AC Schnitzer unveiled its new body kit for the Bmw X5 SUV which gives the car a plus of sportivity but also, according to the tuner, a majestic aura. The new kit consists in a re-designed front bumper, new side sills, bonnet vents and a rear bumper with air diffuser and integrated exhaust system. In order to provide a better stability and handling 22 inch racing wheels were added together with a new suspension kit.
At the interior, a new 3-spoke sports airbag steering wheel was added together with new carbon fiber insertions, new door panels, aluminium pedals and foot rest, aluminium cover for i-Drive silver or “Black Line“ and velours floor mats. Under the hood the 3.0sd engine was boosted from 210 kW / 286 hp to 228 kW/310 hp and from 580 Nm to 680 Nm. Also a new sports exhaust system with double sports rear silencer was added.
Among the big German tuners, AC Schnitzer was the only tuner who didn’t unveil its customization programme for the Bmw X6. Well today the waiting is over, here is the X6 by AC Schnitzer. The new vehicle features a completely re-designed front bumper with new larger air vents, new side sills and a rear bumper with integrated air diffuser and exhaust system. Also new custom 22 inch wheels were added.
At the interior the car features a new custom sport steering wheel. New carbon fiber insertions, velour mats and aluminium sport pedals. More details when the official details will be released!
After last week we presented you the AC Schnitzer ACS1 Convertible based on the Bmw 1-Series Convertible, the Bmw tuning house unveiled its customized Mini Clubman. In order to provide better dynamics the tuner fitted the vehicle with new spring kit, a new front spoiler, new side skirts and a rear roof spoiler.
The real surprise of the car comes from the hood or more exactly from under the hood where the engine of the car with the help of AC Schnitzer engineers delivers 226 hp and 285 Nm of torque.
Following the ACS1 Coupe the ACS1 Cabrio based on the Bmw 1-Series Convertible was unveiled today by the German tuning company AC Schnitzer. The new vehicle features heigh-adjustable suspensions, exhaust silencer and allpy wheels available in different sizes. At the interior the silver-carbon insertions ad a plus of sportivity to the car while the aluminium pedals and accesories together with the new gear knobs and velour floor mats complete successfully the tuning kit.
In order to obtain more power AC Schnitzer re-programmed the ECU and the results are as follows: 360 hp for 135i, 240 hp for the 123d and 200 hp for the 120d.
AC Schnitzer revealed a new tuning package for the 2008 BMW 6-Series. The tuning kit is applied for the first time to the diesel version of the 6-Series, the 635d.
The tuning kit includes a rear spoiler with an integrated brake light, new style side skirts, a revised version of AC’s “bunny-tooth” shaped lower air-intake, a new rear skirt, 20-inch alloy rims and a new sports rear silencer with chromed tailpipes.
For the 635d the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter engine now develops 310 (standard version has an output of 286 hp) hp and a peak torque of 501 lbs-ft. For the 650i the power is increased to 411 hp.
Top Speed is increased by 21 mph, and is now 177 mph.
