The Southern California based company ChaseCam has just developed their latest application for the racetrack. The Dashware program allows you to combine in car footage with data acquisition information to create a custom layout of gauges that allow you to interpret exactly what your car was doing on the racetrack. Considering that ChaseCam has a history providing engineering development to the military, telecomm and biomed technology companies their products have proven themselves in stringent situations.
One of the most difficult challenges for any automotive enthusiast is how to keep your car looking its best after you have dedicated an entire weekend of washing, waxing and meticulous detailing. Normally the car just ends up sitting in the garage with the cover on the whole time.
To coincide the launch of the Ferrari California, Officine Panerai has introduced a new watch in its "Ferrari Engineered by Officine Panerai" timepiece series.
This one may not be able to unlock your car like the Jaeger LeCoultre for the DBS, but it still looks cool. The main surfaces are finished with a brushed treatment, and the black dial has highlights in "Ferrari Red". Just like the Ferrari California, this watch will also be rare. Only 400 examples will be made.
Some people just need to make sure everything they own says that they have more money then they know what to do with. Why else would a select few decide to get the their Lamborghini key fob studded with over two carats worth of diamonds? Amosu Luxury, a British company who is very famous for adding diamonds on the most unusual things, is willing to transform key fobs for not only Lambos, but it will also cover fobs from a Bentley, Mercedes-Benz or Ferrari as well.
The key in this picture is priced at £7,000 (almost $10,485) and includes 183 diamonds that add up to 2.02 carats. But hey, at least it’s not as bad as the $150,000 shift knob for Bentley. Then again, get this and it may be the first the valet steals your keys and leaves the car.

The Porsche 911 Turbo models are offered with new 19-inch RS Spyder wheels. The most outstanding feature of these forged aluminum lightweight wheels with their seven U-shaped double spokes is the unique, newly developed central locking. Instead of the wheel nuts generally used in motorsport, these very special wheels come with wheel bolts fastening the new 19-inch RS Spyder wheels firmly and safely on the wheel bearing.
The innovative security mechanism on the wheel bearing is made up of a cartridge fitted in the wheel hub with spring-mounted security bolts. Standing out clearly and impressively, the bolts on the new central locking are eloxy-plated in titanium colour and thus differ clearly and distinctly from the silver-coloured paintwork on the 19-inch RS Spyder wheels.
General Motor’s German arm Opel is presenting for the first time GM’s CAR 2 CAR Communication Consortium (C2C-CC) independent of manufacturer or vehicle-type. The C2C technology helps preventing accidents by warning drivers about potential danger from other vehicles.
Vehicles equipped with this technology can communicate with each other and exchange information such as location and speed. Drivers can then be warned in advance if another vehicle is stopped in an area that is difficult or impossible to see, or about to enter the same intersection as they are.
Several functions help prevent the rear-end collisions that occur on a daily basis due to poor visibility, twisty roads or short lapses in driver concentration. For example, the system warns of a stationary vehicle on the road even before the driver behind can see it, for example around a corner. Depending on the situation, the system transmits these warnings visually, acoustically or through vibrations in the driver’s seat.
Azentek is an innovative developer of in-vehicle gadgets. They provide computer systems, GPS and fleet tracking solutions. The company is the creator of the SmartMirror – a rearview mirror with integrated GPS navigation, Bluetooth hands-free cellular connectivity, and backup camera capability.
According to retailers and dealers, customers have shown warm acceptance to this cool gadget because of its great features. People like the SmartMirror because it does not require alteration of the factory dashboard layout for installation. Since its introduction in August of this year, sales have been brisk and the demand for the device has grown.
SmartMirror comes in a simple package. The built-in GPS is a Samsung Sirf III with its touch screeen occupying about 4 inches of the right side of the mirror area. Onboard memory is 64MB with 2GB SD card for maps, pictures and e-books. Speakers are built-in and it features text-to-speech capability, 2D & 3D map images, plus Lane Assist. The GPS screen also doubles as a reverse camera display. The device incorporates Bluetooth technology which allows mobile phone hands-free interface and the ability to show incoming caller ID and call history onscreen.

As Pete Muller, Azentek’s VP of Sales & Marketing relates "The initial sales have far exceeded any of our expectations. We’ve had to ramp-up production at our factory just to meet the demand and consumers are currently on waiting lists just to get a hold of a SmartMirror."

Here’s a video preview of some of the upgrades that will appear in November at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.
From this we can tell that there will not only obviously be a Hurst shifter package available, but also some more complicated suspension bits as well as body modifications.
