2011 Acura TSX Sport Wagon

Acura unveiled the TSX Sport Wagon at the 2010 New York Auto Show . The car will join the current TSX line-up and will go on sale in the late fall. According to Acura, the new TSX Sport Wagon is the right car for those seeking luxury, utility and fuel economy.

The 2011 TSX Sport Wagon is powered by a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine that delivers a total of 201 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque (the sedan version also gets a V6 engine). The engine is mated to a Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission and has a fuel economy of 30 mpg. Its obvious competition is the Audi A4 Avant with a 2.0L, 4 cylinder engine producing 211hp and the Cadillac CTS wagon with a 3.6L, V6 engine producing 263hp. Of course, we really don’t think that the Cadillac can be considered competition, but we do believe that Acura may think so.

The new TSX will be available with all the latest technologies including: Acura Navigation System with an all-new 8-inch full VGA high-resolution color display, AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic and Weather, Acura/ELS Surround Premium Audi Audi o System and a hard disk drive (HDD) for media storage, a power glass moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather seats, a premium sound system, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink, and USB port and AUX jack music interface.

UPDATE 12/08/10: It took longer than any of us would’ve liked but finally, Acura has released the price tag for the 2011 TSX Sport Wagon. If you’ve been interested in this car for a while, you’ll be happy to know that the Honda-owned automaker is sticking a reasonable price tag of $31,820. Not too shabby.

Not exactly. Lease prices are heavily based on predicted depreciation. Accordingly, lease prices generally reflect that fact.

Here we go again. Another 4 cylinder car , like the Juke, that needs premium fuel. How did Cadillac get 275-300 hp out of a northstar on regular?

While I can agree on the exterior design approach, with the exception of the ZDX and TSX, all Acura have excellent interior and great tech. That FWD-based AWD is actually very impressive, since the TL SH-AWD 6 Speed out lapped both the S4, both the RWD and AWD twin turbo 3 Series, while having less power. It drives very similar to the EVO X, which I can say from having driven both.

but it’s performance are beyond it’s looks for sure its competitors are going to have a hard time competing with it.

Somehow, I just don’t get excited about Acura’s designing approach and their sticking to FWD and FWD-based AWD. On the other hand, NSX and S2000 would really get my heart racing.

Looks more of Honda civic front end with the rear end of Subaru legacy wagon. Ugly collaboration ain’t it?

Acura, What are you doing? Your new designs . Your ad campaigns . Get in the game, or just close up shop. You were once a sporty, high end option for us Japanese car lovers. Now you are just plain ugly.

I like it too but the MPG and torque are godawful compared to American/Korean cars that are coming out now. I bet it requires premium fuel also.

I test drove my friend’s 2009 TSX and in terms of acceleration it feels like the 4 banger Accord with slightly more oomph plus it
feels heavy and loves to under street, that’s unacceptable for the car that costs about $5K more than the Accord V6 and only slightly better performance, interior and styling.

At this point I feel like they should not have even bothered. Just when it seemed like something nice was coming from Honda.

This car have a cool color! Finally their wishes were granted but the Tourer won’t be wearing a Honda badge like it does in Europe

This is a good contender of mazda6 wagon, and accord tourer.

Its not in the league of Audi or even Alfa Romeo. I think it’s too plain and doesnt have an impressive features.

Nice alternative to the audi a4 wagon! cheaper loaded, i bet! i love the front which is very unique. And too many vehicles are look alike. kudos, honda-acura.
