Alfa-Romeo 166

Alfa Romeo 166 was a midsize luxury sedan that never quite lived up to its potential due to poor sales. The Alfa Romeo 166 was introduced in 1998 when it replaced the Alfa Romeo 164. Designed by the Centro Stile Alfa Romeo, the 166 received a face lift in 2003 along the same lines as the smaller Alfa Romeo 156 which drastically improved the vehicle’s appearance. The top of the line 166 was called the Super and came equipped with quite a few high end options and creature comforts like a MOMO leather wrapped interior, multi spoke 17 inch alloy wheels, rain sensing windshield wipers, cruise control, Integrated Control System LCD color display, xenon headlamps and satellite navigation.

Progetto 941 is the development code of the Alfa 169.(itself a name that has been registered by Fiat Auto this year)
Alfa 169 is the replacement for the 166, a car that never was a strong seller to rival the dominant German brands in the European executive car sector.

Don’t call it a ‘flagship’: the New 166 is a genuine executive class sports saloon. A unique concept, one to be enjoyed, for those who in business as in life prefer to drive, not to be driven. It is also a highly contemporary project, made even more attractive and up to date by countless improvements in terms of styling, engines, equipment and detail that only the experience gained over millions of kilometers can give.
