With the extra horsepower, the new E63 AMG S-Model will be a little bit faster than the standard model, plus it comes equipped with a performance-oriented all-wheel-drive system and a limited-slip rear differential that helps delivering better vehicle dynamics and more driving pleasure, especially on the race-track

Just yesterday, we reported that the upcomingGran Turismo 6 will feature a total of 1,200 cars. Today, Mercedes announced that three of these model will come from AMG and include: the SLS AMG GT3 , E63 AMG and A45 AMG. These models will join the current lineup already offered by Mercedes in the GT5 which includes a total of 21 vehicles.

The three AMG models deliver a combined output of more than 1,400 horsepower: 500 from the SLS, 557 from the E63 and 360 from the A45 AMG.

The new Gran Turismo 6 will be released just in time for the holiday season, so this might be a good gift idea if you’re drawing a blank for the car lover in your family. The new GT6 will be initially available for the Play Station 3 platform, but it will be offered for the PS4 at a later date.

Wheels Boutique out of Miami has made its way onto our pages a few times in the past with its 911 Turbo , F430 , Panamera and Supersports , so it’s no surprise to see it sneaking its way onto our pages again today.

This time around, however, it comes bearing a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, which is a beauty in its own right with its sporty exterior, luxurious interior and powerful 6.2-liter V-8 engine under the hood. The tuner began by stripping off the front and rear bumpers, the trunk spoiler and the rear diffusor and replacing them all with clear-coated carbon-fiber units to lower the weight, increase aerodynamic efficiency and to simply make it look cooler.

At the corners, Wheels Boutiques used its specialty in rollers to pick out the perfect set of ADV.1 wheels to help round out the package.

No tune is ever complete without a bump in horsepower, which Wheels Boutique was happy to perform. Thanks to a new Akrapovic exhaust system, the engine now produces 575 horsepower and 489 pound-feet of torque.

High-performance station wagons are becoming more and more common with each passing model year, making great canvases for various tuners to take their customization brushes to. Next up on the list is a custom is an oldie, but goodie: a W211 (2003 - 2006) E 55 AMG Estate.

From the factory, the E 55 AMG Estate was one bad wagon, boasting a 5.4-liter V-8 supercharged powerplant with 469 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque. RENNtech and ADV.1 teamed up to push this wagon to the extreme and make it a true grocery-getting rocket. The 5.4-liter engine received upgraded pistons and connecting rods, which allowed for a bump in the supercharger’s psi. Additionally, the E 55 AMG received ported and polished heads, SLR camshafts, new ECU software, full exhaust system from stainless steel and an 82 mm throttle body.

All of those upgrades gave the E 55 a slight boost in power. By “slight,” we mean a 40-percent bump in horsepower and a 43-percent bump in torque to 660 horsepower and 739 pound-feet, respectively.

What good is all of that power if the car can’t handle it all? To address this, the team installed an upgraded transmission to prevent grenading the standard one. Also added in was a lowering module to drop the ride height a little and a performance brake kit with 15.2-inchs and 14.2-inch discs on the front and rear, respectively.

ADV.1 added its own touch with a set of ADV08 Track Spec wheels measuring 9-by-20 inches up front and 10.5-by-20 inches on the rear.

Not too bad for an aging wagon, right?

The 2013 C63 AMG Black Series Coupe is no doubt our favorite of the entire C-Class lineup. We find it just perfect from the factory and we most updates just ruin its factory beauty. However, the folks over ADV.1 Wheels have found a solution to improve its look even further, proving us wrong.

The tuner installed a set of wheels painted in no ordinary silver or gunmetal. Instead, it opted for a brushed-aluminum finish that uses a special red transparent tint that completely makes the car scream: "look at me!" The new wheels are sized 20-by-10 inches up front and 20-by-11 inches on the rear and come in a monoblock design.

And, since no package can be completed until some body updates are also offered, ADV.1 teamed with Mode Carbon and fiveninedesign. This partnership added to the car a new boot-lid spoiler and new side mirrors.

This caps off this minimalist upgrade that offers up just enough custom work to make the C63 AMG Black series look even better.

The 2013 Mercedes CLS 63 AMG is a model that really doesn’t need any upgrades, but American tuner, Renntech, decided it would boost the luxury sedan’s image regardless. While these upgrades make the CLS 63 AMG looking better than ever it has one big disadvantage: its relatively high $9,500 price tag.

The entire kit was designed and prototyped in-house and is constructed of the highest-quality pre-preg carbon fiber that ensures years durability. If you were expecting something big, you will be disappointed, as Renntech kept the updates to a minimum by only offering a front splitter, rear diffuser and rear lip spoiler.

Usually, Renntech offers up some form of an engine update to go along with the updated aesthetics, but this time it decided to skip them. After all, the CLS 63 AMG ’s 5.5-liter biturbo V-8 engine that delivers a total of 518 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, or 550 horsepower and 590 pound-feet when you add the AMG Performance Package, is plenty powerful.

The market’s current trend is to develop more and more hybrid models. Apparently Mercedes is going to follow this trend, but its current V-12 engines will still be offered for at least five or six years.

According to Mercedes-AMG Chairman Ola Källenius, AMG is going to unveil hybrid models, but not until the market is really ready for it. Until then it will work on improving fuel consumption by at least 20 percent by the company’s 50th anniversary in 2017. AMG is still unsure about the hybrid powertrain because the battery needed to provide power to the electric motor is very heavy and will add unnecessary mass to the car’s total weight.

As a result, until AMG will be ready to offer a proper hybrid model, it will work on getting more power from the current gasoline engines and has no intention of offering a powerful diesel engine anytime soon.

On the other hand, Källenius confirmed that the current V-12 engine is EU6 (emissions compliance) and is offered with start-stop technology, so it’s absolutely safe for years to come.

Mercedes GLA45 AMG

This is the second time that Mercedes has taken its baby performance SUV out for a testing session. Instead of hitting the cold weather with the GLA 45 AMG , like the first time we caught it, Mercedes took it for an extreme test at Nürburgring in Germany.

The next GLA 45 AMG will be based on the same platform as the new-generation A-Class and will be offered with the same engine as the CLA 45 AMG and A 45 AMG : a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers a total of 360 horsepower and a peak torque of 331 pound-feet.

Unlike the standard GLA-Class , the AMG version will feature a more aggressive look with dual exhaust pipes, bigger wheels and cross-drilled brakes – pretty standard stuff for the AMG lineup.

The standard GLA-Class is expected to be unveiled in September at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, with the AMG version to follow few months after.

German aftermarket company, Vath, is no stranger to building some of the most desirable Mercedes programs in the market. The company has a portfolio of these models, including programs for the A-Class , the C63 AMG and the SLS AMG , among others.

Not one to be content with just fitting useless components on the SL63 AMG , Vath opted to use parts that would improve the sports car’s aerodynamic capabilities, beginning with a carbon front spoiler, a new rear diffuser with fins and a large underbody, and a rear lip that was also made from high-class carbon. Rounding out the exterior mods is a set of 20-inch, three-part forged rims with titanium-colored spokes to go with a high-performance brake system that features a 390 mm (15.35-inch) brake discs at the front axle with six-piston brake calipers, as well as Castrol SRF racing brake fluid and brake line kit.

The interior of the SL63 AMG was treated to a fancy carbon-black finish, all of which was exclusively handmade in Germany. Among the components finished in carbon black include the middle console, the front ashtray cover and two-part door stripes. From there, Vath gave the SL63 AMG’s sport steering wheel a leather treatment, while also replacing the speedometer with one that goes all the way up to 224 mph and adding aluminum pedals.

Under the hood of the SL63 AMG, Vath worked with a reprogrammed 5.5-liter V-8 Biturbo engine that shot the output of the sports car up to 780 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque, a staggering increase from the standard model’s 537-horsepower and 590 pound-feet figures.
