The Ascari KZ1 is a hand built super car made by the English automaker Ascari. Limited to only 50 units, the KZ1 is powered by a tuned V8 sourced from a BMW M5 making 520 HP. It can go from 0 to 60 MPH in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 201 MPH thanks to its curvaceous wedge shaped bodywork. Each KZ1 is priced at £235,000 and takes 340 man hours to be constructed. An added benefit of buying an Ascari is that owners have the opportunity to join the Ascari-managed Race Resort Ascari in the south of Spain.
British Super car manufacturer Ascari Cars Ltd is concentrating its focus for 2007 on a high scoring performance in the UK and European GT3 racing series with its KZ-1R super car. Ascari is currently completing the latest three bespoke KZ-1R GT3 cars at its state of the art production facility in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The finished vehicles will head to Europe for testing sessions before the start of the FIA GT3 European Championship.
