It seems a little odd for Wheelsandmore to release a tuning program strangely named "Summerheat".

But that's exactly what the German aftermarket company did, and it used an Aston Martin DBS Volante to showcase its new project. The DBS Volante is impressive enough in its own right, but Wheelsandmore managed to give it the right kind of performance and handling bump that gives the British sports car->ke506 some spicy new credentials.

It's hard to imagine a car like the DBS->ke1479 Volante getting even more premium upgrades, let alone one that gives it a nice uptick in the power department. But such is the touch of Wheelsandmore.

Every time we think this aftermarket company has pushed its tuning skills to the limit, it comes back and proves us wrong time and time again.

It's work on the DBS Volante is only the latest in a long line of examples that we hope doesn't end now or any time soon.

Suspension Upgrade

Wheelsandmore has made a business out of not only its aesthetic and performance modifications, but also on how it manages to improve the car's handling characteristics. This time around, the German tuner used its own custom-built special lowering springs that drops the DBS Volante's ride height by a tidy 35 mm (1.38 inches), which is enough to give it more dynamic balance when running on high speeds.

New Rollers: Check

Wheelsandmore is named as such because it's specialty lies in the kind of wheels it manages to create. Time and again, we're left surprised that it can come out with something completely new and exceptionally built.

For the Summerheat program, the German tuner opted to fit the British supercar with something we've already seen in the past: 21-inch 6Sporz² wheels. That being said, the whole set still looks sick to the hilt, especially when they're wrapped in Continental Sport Contact 5P tires.

As always, customers have free reign on how they want the wheels to be finished.

Engine Bump

The most unheralded part of the Summerheat program can be spotted under the hood of the DBS Volante. Thanks to the installation of a new cat-replacement kit, an F1-airfilter-kit, and a valve-controlled exhaust system with remote valve flaps, Wheelsandmore was able to tack in an extra 40 horsepower on the Aston Martin's output. With these changes, the DBS Volante's 6.0-liter V-12 engine is now capable of delivering 550 horsepower and 488 pound-feet of torque, a steady increase from the standard model's 510-horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque output.
