In the past few days Aston Martin->ke13 teased a new model two times, but each time the video was revealing pretty much nothing on this car. Today, however, the company decided to surprise us with the unveiling of the new V12 Vantage S. Despite our expectations the new model will not be offered as a last edition for the current V12 Vantage, but it comes simply to replace it.

The new V12 Vantage S is using racing technologies from models like Vantage GT4, GT3 and GTE competition cars. These technologies include a damping system developed by Bilstein, Brembo brakes and a two-stage Dynamic Stability Control by Continental can be completely turned off.

Aston Martin is also installing a new grille inspired by the new CC100 Speedster and a new Sportshift III AMT gearbox.

The new V12 Vantage S will be put on sale at the end of 2013.

Updated 06/20/2013: Aston Martin confirmed today that the new V12 Vantage S is the fastest-accelerating Aston Martin to date, except the One-77 supercar, of course. See how long it takes to go from 0 to 60 mph after the jump. We also have the price list for the new sports car.

Drivetrain

Under the hood, the new V12 Vantage S is powered by a AM28 6.0-liter V-12 engine that delivers a total of 565 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque.

The engine is mated to a new Sportshift™III AMT (automated manual transmission) that offers motorsport-style paddle shift changes for optimum performance delivery and efficiency. Also, when compared to the previous six-speed manual, the new gearbox is about 55 pounds lighter.

There is also a new exhaust system derived from the One-77 supercar that is lighter, smaller and even more sonorous than that of the outgoing car.

All these new features have help the new V12 Vantage S to hit an incredible top speed of 205 mph. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph takes just 3.7 seconds, making it the brand’s fastest-accelerating production car to date – with the exception of the limited-edition, and sold-out, One-77 hypercar, which needed only 3.5 seconds for the sprint.
