Q by Aston Martin is arguably one of the most adventurous personalization divisions in the industry today. That’s saying something considering that companies like Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, and Porsche all have their own versions of personalization departments that are known for throwing design caution to the wind solely for the purpose of creating special edition cars that justify their label. The British automaker has been doing this since 2012 and its latest creation may be regarded as Q by Aston Martin’s flashiest work to date. It’s called the Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Swedish Forest Edition and it’s a handful to the senses.

Limited to just four units, the V8 Vantage S Swedish Forest Edition pays homage to the picturesque landscape of the Swedish outdoors with design details that are more likely to be found inside a Pottery Barn catalog. It doesn’t seem like it from afar, as the grey body finish doesn’t do much to inspire the senses, but once the details are highlighted, the car immediately transforms into a real special edition that gives justice to its name, right down to the Swedish forest etched onto the suede headliner.

Not surprisingly, the personalized details are limited to the car’s exterior and interior. The engine remains the same so expect to see the model’s 4.7-liter V-8 engine that pumps out 430 horsepower and 361 pound-feet of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.8 seconds to go with a top speed of 190 mph.

What Makes The Q By Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Swedish Forest Edition So Special?

Proving that personalized cars are more than the sum of their customized parts, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Swedish Forest Edition is loaded with unique details that touches on the name it’s been given. On the outside, the carbon fiber accents around the aero components and mirrors caps have all been given a green treatment to highlight its forestry character. I’m not sure whether Q by Aston Martin intended it to look the way it does, but the combination of the green color and the carbon fiber composition actually make the components look like “bespoke” leaves.

Step inside the V8 Vantage S Swedish Forest Editions’ cabin and you’ll see where Q by Aston Martin really had its work cut out for it. There’s a bespoke wooden center console that serves as the highlight of the personalized details. It’s far from the only one though as similar wood treatments were given to the sill plaques, which come with etched logos of Aston Martin and Q by Aston Martin. Move to the leather seats and you’ll see Aston Martin’s logo stitched in a similar green hue as the ones used to dress up the carbon fiber components and then there’s the aforementioned Swedish forest imagery that’s etched onto the suede headliner.

Overall, the design of the V8 Vantage S Swedish Forest Edition is as unique as it’s going to get from Q by Aston Martin. Then again, this is the same personalization department that gave birth to the ridiculous CC100 Speedster Concept. It’s definition of unique is a lot different than the word’s traditional meaning.
