Audi A4

  The Audi A4 is an entry level luxury sedan from the German automaker that is currently in its fourth generation. Introduced in 1994 with a four door saloon as well as a five door Avant model with the wagon only 2000 RS4 sitting at the top of the heap with a Biturbo 2.7 Liter V6 that made 375 HP and 325 lb-ft of torque. The A4 was redesigned with a few new bloated body lines in 2001, this allowed the way for a 4.2 Liter V8 making 339 HP and 302 lb-ft of torque to go under the S4's hood while the car would accele3rate from 0 to 60 MPH in under 5 seconds. In 2005 the A4 was redesigned once again with more aggressive curves and the S4 was powered by the same V8 as before except that a new RS4 with FSI technology making 420 HP. The A4's current shape came in 2008 with a refreshing of the entire line. In order to accommodate fuel economy issues, the high output S4 will be powered by a smaller supercharged V6.

Auto Motor Und Sport voted four Audi models as best in their class. The Audi R8 won the title of thw best sports car, the A4 was voted best in the sedan class, the A3 compact model came top of its class for the fourth time and Audi A6 was the winner once again among midsize luxury cars.

Audi continues to expand its successful A4 and A5 model lines. The new entry-level units add to the range of available engines. The 1.8 TFSI engine is available for the Audi A4, where it generates 88 k (120 hp) in combination with a manual transmission, and for the A5, where it develops 125 kW (170 hp) in combination with the continuously variable multitronic transmission.

By concept, the new Audi A4 is already a dynamic, exciting and powerful car – and therefore this new sedan car made in Ingolstadt offers a perfect starting point for the engineers and designers with Abt Sportsline. With the AS4, the world’s leading tuner of cars from the Volkswagen group succeeded in creating a car which is in every respect harmonic and sporty, as well as elegant: the front skirt, which emphasizes the distinctive headlight area, makes the AS4 look very dynamic and self-confident. Side skirts and fender inlets meet the sporty design and harmonize perfectly with the rear section of the car; the 4-pipe rear muffler, the rear skirt inlet and the rear spoiler form a perfect unit.

The Audi A4 Ambition – Audi’s sportiest contender in the premium mid-range segment – can now be made even more dynamic with the new S line sports package plus from quattro GmbH. The package includes special styling and functional features for an added sporty touch in terms of driving behavior and design.

The new Audi A4 is definitely the premium model of the middle class cars. All the more when it is additionally improved by Abt Sportsline. The exceptional vehicle shows self-confidently that it is a real winner. With the front skirt, accentuating the headlight area, the Abt AS4 appears aggressive and powerful. Actually, the designers from Kempten managed to enhance the sporty charisma of the car without changing its elegant nature.

The Audi A4 – the powerful, elegant saloon with its attractive H&R running gear package - has just become even more dynamic. The H&R suspension kit gives the saloon that extra sporty touch and the 35 mm drop makes for improved driving dynamics. A suspension kit is also available for the S-Line package. Ground clearance here is approx. 25 mm less than for standard models.

Not in the showrooms yet, but already an award-winner: the German newspaper “Bild am Sonntag” has voted the new midsize saloon with the four-ring badge the best vehicle in its class and presented it with its “Golden Steering Wheel”. The Audi A4 won through against strong competition in the midsize class.
