A very lucky member of the Fourtitude Forums caught the Audi’s North American-spec A5 preproduction cars in California recently. You already knew about the existence of this car, but now you have the chance to see it. Note in particular the wheels, a new design not-yet seen but definitely due to go into production.
GABO photographed the new coupé in Italy – even before its world premiere. It all happened under strict confidentiality. Always in line with the motto: nobody sees the car apart from the camera. And of course the principal characters in the story, a love story: Natalia Wörner and Robert Seeliger. What emerged was a road movie about cars, food, design, fashion, architecture and Italian life. As you allready know, Audi has announced that they will double the line-up by 2015, this means that around 18 new models will be add to the current 22 models. Some of them are the Q5, The R4, A1 and A7.
And according to the german magazine Autobild, Audi will also launch station wagon and convertible versions for the newly launched A5 and S5. The A5 Convertible will be launched in November 2008 and the A5 Station Wagon in April (...)

Audi has announced that in the next 12 months there will be 12 new models coming. One of them is a convertible version of the new A5 launched in Geneva last week.
The A5 convertible will feature soft top, even though the technology for coupe-convertibles clearly exists within the VW Group in cars like the Eos. After yesterday wolrd debut of the A5 and S5, Audi today announced pricing for its latest coupes. It will start at £30,175 for the base 2.7 TDI, and top out at £40,025 for the 4.2-litre V8 powered S5.

Visitors to the world premiere of the
Audi A5 were greeted by “A yelled hello”. The name of the band “Yello” derives from these three words. Boris Blank and Dieter Meier, both from Switzerland, compose electronic music from sounds samples – and are providing the musical backdrop to Audi’s press event during the Geneva Motor Show.
