Audi TT

The Audi TT is a compact sports coupe from the German automaker that was first introduced in 1998 with a 1.8T power plant before receiving a 3.2 Liter V6 making 250 HP and was refreshed back in 2007. Since then Audi has upgraded every member of the TT line to use their Quattro all wheel drive system as well as a few diesel burning mills to go along with the new 250 HP 2.0 Liter TFSI motor and is able to go from 0 to 60 MPH in only 5.9 seconds.

Video: Leopard hangs out at the window of an Audi TT

Remember when Ricky Bobby lost all of his driving mojo and had to be helped out by a cougar so he could remember how to be a bad-ass racer again? We’re asking this because, apparently, taking your pet cats – and we don’t mean the little, domesticated ones – out for a leisurely joy ride is something that isn’t just happening in movies these days.

This footage was taken in Russia after a car spots an Audi TT on the ride with a most peculiar head sticking out of the passenger side window. As the car got closer to the Audi, they realized that there really was a head, only that it didn’t belong to a human. It belonged to a leopard.

Yes, a leopard - those ferocious, feline beasts that can literally devour us if they so please. Turns out that this car didn’t want anything carnivorous to eat; all it wanted was a nice, cool breeze on its whiskers.

You gotta see it to believe it.

2009 Audi TT by Forza Motorsport

Although the name pretty much says it all, the German automaker Audi has created a special edition Audi TT to coincide with the release of Forza Motorsport 3, the XBox’s latest racing simulator which has already raced to the top of the sales charts. The limited edition TT will wear the Forza Motorsport logo, but what is even more significant about the special TT is that the car comes with a hidden bonus, in the trunk owners will find an Xbox Elite 120GB as well as a copy of the video game Forza Motorsport 3.

Microsoft and the video game’s producers, Turn 10, promise that the third installment of Forza is more than just point a to point b racing and has offers something in store for every kind of automotive enthusiast. Anticipating everyone from racers to drifters, Forza 3 has everything from Le Mans prototype and GT racecars competing wheel to wheel on the circuit as well as highly modified tuner cars that want nothing more than to burn rubber while goin sideways down winding togue mountain passes. But before you get to excited about the special edition TT, you ought to know that Audi only plans on producing 20 examples and that they will each be priced at around $37,000. Now that’s quite a premium to be paying for an XBox 360, not that the turbocharged all wheel drive TT isn’t worth it.

Prior Design Audi TT with R8 look

prior design audi tt with r8 look picture

Audi’s R8 super car is a dream: razor sharp bodywork, over 400 horse power behind your head and a set of eye catching rims. Unfortunately, that kind of superior automotive status comes at a sizable cost. That is why the German tuning firm Prior Design have come up with a very aggressive R8 inspired aero kit for the last generation Audi TT, bringing super car fashion to the masses.

Up front the TT wears a new front bumper complete with horizontal carbon fiber blades stretching across the oversized intakes. The rear bumper is equally as speed inspired, they are tied together nicely by the new side skirts and the TT’s already wide fender bulges. The tuner kept everything unchanged under the hood, the 3.2 Liter V6 making 250 HP being sent through Quattro, Audi’s proven four wheel drive system.

So if the Audi R8 is your dream car, but for whatever reason isn’t in your garage, the Prior Design TT is not a bad substitute. By combining the looks of Audi’s halo car, the R8 with a solid German engineered power train, Prior Design made a good car into something special.
