Just when Project Kahn->ke1726 seemed been lost in the shadows, the British tuning firm returns back to the spotlight with some pretty snazzy new programs for us aftermarket-loving fanatics.

We've already gotten a good look at the new Range Rover Diablo and now, Afzal Kahn and his merry band of buddies have released their latest styling package for the Audi A5.

As a man who prides himself on providing customers with some of the most well thought of packages in the industry, Kahn's work on the Audi A5 is a testament to why he's considered one of the best in the biz. The new body kit for the A5 may be "subtle" compared to his past works, but there's still something to be said about a man that can turn just about anything into his own personal work of art.

There's a taste of subdued aggression with this new body kit, something that allows the A5 to look more menacing than its standard brethren. And on top of that, its interior has been spruced up to add get some luxurious shine.

All told, another fine piece of work from Kahn and the boys.

Exterior and Interior

The Audi A5 is one of those cars that, on its own, already stands out from the pack, but when you add a styling package that allows the car to bare its teeth a little more, then you have something that will completely draw the attention of anybody who takes even the quickest of glances of it.

That's how you can describe Project Kahn's latest body kit bonanza on the A5. The front and rear bumpers have been tinkered with to include side blades; the rear end of the car was given a boot spoiler; the car was given a stainless steel sports quad exhaust system; the side mirrors, and the front and rear diffuser were given a pearl finish; and there's also the new set of highly-advanced 21" RSL lightweight wheels with black and red stripes. All these modifications embody Project Kahn's mission of bringing out elegance and skilled artistic innovation in one especially tight program.

The inside of the A5 was likewise not left out of the changes. In it you'll find a complete leather treatment in perforated nappa befitting Project Kahn's goal of giving the interior a "bespoke touch". Other notable items on the car's interior include red dials in matte finish and billet aluminum pedals.

Performance

While the car's suspension was lowered by 35 mm and the addition of the stainless steel sports quad exhaust system does provide improved performance, Project Kahn steered clear of making any engine upgrades on the car so you can expect it to still carry the same 2.0-liter TFSI that produces 211 horsepower and 258 lb/ft of torque.

Pricing

Project Kahn has priced the complete set-up of the Audi A5 Coupe Sport at £31,875, which is about $51,381 based on current exchange rates.

Competition

While we do enjoy what Project Kahn added with their new body kit for the Audi A5, nothing still beats a performance upgrade, which really put a damper on the tuning firm's work.

On the flip side, the Audi A5 Cabrio by Senner Tuning does come with a performance upgrade, albeit at the expense of minimal changes on the car's aesthetics.

Comparing the two programs, we believe that Project Kahn's work on the body looks far more aggressive than the relatively subdued work given by Senner Tuning. In terms of completely restyling the A5 to bring out the car's mean streak, the nod definitely goes to Project Kahn.

But at the end of the day, tuning companies that provide performance upgrades on the car will always have a leg-up on those that give body kits, and this is where Senner Tuning's software optimization on the A5's 2.0-liter T-FSI engine - it bumps up the output to 275 horsepower - takes the proverbial cake.
