2011 Audi A7 Sportback Preview

While most people are still waiting to see the official debut of the new Audi A7 , others have tired of it and have begun providing renderings of the car. This vehicle wouldn’t exactly be the most difficult rendering ever done considering we already know most of what we need to know about the new model.

The 2012 A7 was previewed by the Sportback concept shown at last year’s Detroit Auto Show and is said to share a similar look with the A8 , but oriented more into luxury than functionality. The official debut will be made in September at the Paris Auto Show. On sale in the spring of 2011, the A7 will compete with models like the Mercedes-Benz CLS , the Porsche Panamera , and the Aston Martin Rapide .

Under the hood of the future A7, Audi will use three different direct gasoline injection engines including a 2.8 Liter FSI and 3.0 Liter TFSI V6s as well as a 4.0 Liter TFSI V8. The alternatively fueled diesel options include a 2.7 Liter V6 and both turbocharged and twin-turbocharged versions of the existing 3.0 Liter TDI V6. All engine choices will be mated to a seven speed dual clutch automatic gearbox with all-wheel drive.

Well, I have to say that I’m really impressed with the styling of the car. This is one of the best production from the Audi. However, it would be better to less consider this car!

Before and after, the decency of the Audi’s styling is very consistent! I really like the styling and the figure performance of the car. And its a good thing that it offer a better fuel economy.

Agreed. I think the Audi would less to consider to upgrade this version for they are busy working on the RS-series. However, I hope that they would make an upgrade on the car before announcing a debut.

It seems that the Audi have a better planned for the future production of this model. I still think that the power output is kind of less powerful and competing against the most powerful brand like the Panamera and Mercedes C- class would be tough for this production.

Well, I think its less to consider since the Audi A8 Spyder is already out in the market. And based on reviews this car has an amazing performance! I can’t wait to get my hand in the back of its steering!

Wow! I like the aggressiveness of this car. And due to the fact that its manufacturer is the Audi I bet it has a high speed performance! I wonder if this car is still available?

Yes! Very brilliant car though its kind of disappointing for there is already a more powerful Audi a8. The latter is more powerful than this production version.

The silhouette honestly looks weird. Front looks like A1/A8 and back looks like X6.

The sloping back end looks more like what I would have liked to have seen on the Porsche Panamera. I like the view of the silver one from the side the best. Anyone else see a resemblance to the 911 (only the back) from that angle?

Definitely this would be the make or break car. I’ll reserve my comment and judgment until I see full graphic pictures.

This could be Audi’s make or break car.

It looks like it’s inspired by the MB CLS, though arguble not executed as elegantly. Back and side view looks appealing while front end leaves me cold.

What a brilliant car. Hard to believe it came from the same design team as the new vanilla A8. Let’s hope Audi NA is smart enough to bring this beauty to U.S. shores.

Well, the concept is seriously-sloping-roofline, and they call it a “coupe-like silhouette”. The 5-door hatchback body remains, and I think this is the 2011 Audi A7 Sportback is all about.

I agree! It looks more closer to the Audi a8, but the only difference is the engine variants. The a7 has a V6 AND V8 with a selection of petrol or diesel engines.
