CompetitionWith the launch of the new Audi A6, there will be a real battle between German luxury sedans: BMW has the 5-Series and Mercedes has the E-Class. The E-Class is powered by a range of four, six and eight-cylinder units with outputs from 136 hp to 525 hp. The line-up includes: E 250 CDI with 204 hp and 500 NM, E 220 CDI with 170 hp and the E 200 CDI with 136 hp, E 350 CDI with an output of 231 hp. The petrol engines are: E 200 CGI (184 hp) and E 250 CGI (292 hp) are equipped with the newly developed 1,8 liter four-cylinder engine. The top of the line is the E500 with an output of 388 hp. And of course that all the three sedan offers a high amount of luxury and technology. Who will win the battle? Depends on how every maker will convince their clients that their model is the best! 33 comments: Audi A6 @albe_winston:I think Audi’s design is not getting ugly, it’s just that they are look
the same and i bet you were just sick of looking the same old design, when they are releasing a new model! But though, I’m looking for the Audi 8 e-tron.
yet no one sees the BMW center stack cues here too? i was really hoping to see a diff a6 but as said again a predictable throw. and giving the face and angry look like the lancer is never gonna look sensible. the e and 5 can sigh in relief.
As for the interior, nice try. but it is clear that the attempt to match BMW’s interior class and attempt to copy BMW’s interior has failed. It is clear from the above that BMW has a much better interior in terms of quality, style and design.
Maybe they’ll replace it w/ a $10 Coleman tent from Walmart which should be a huge upgrade over the ’sun shield’. They should also recall it for not being lightweight.
you mean in a similar way to how BMW’s steering and handling is always lauded over and it wins comparison tests even when the rest of the vehicle is behind it’s rivals?? What happens now that BMW’s are becoming overweight and lose their handling advantage??
I feel sad to say this since Audis were usually conservative though handsome cars they’re all starting to look slightly uglier each time that they come out with a new model. The interior is nice but the info screen kinda distracts from the overall look.
I have been in love with Audi’s for 27 years. I am proud to own a B8 Audi A4. But I am a bit saddened by what, I feel, is Audi’s resting on its laurels.
It really does have a Ford Tarus (500?) side profile. Audi is just cranking out the same Grille and tail-lamps for every car in the range, with the exception of the R8.
Cool, I bet Beammer and Benz are very jealous with it because of the Smoked HeadLamps and LEDs. and the performace is above expectations.
