2013 Audi Quattro Coupe

  Review

The 2010 Paris Auto Show brought us many concepts, but while the Lotus Elan and Esprit are going back to the drawing board and the Renault Dezir will only get chopped up and used for inspirational parts, Audi is pushing forward with a production version of the Quattro concept. That’s right, the Quattro has been given the green light for limited production starting 2013.

The production Quattro will be based on Audi’s latest aluminum spaceframe chassis with a body built in carbon fiber-reinforced plastic. It will weigh in at about 660 lbs less than the RS5 as seen on the prototypes already testing. It will also feature a wheelbase that has been reduced by 150 mm and an interior featuring seats made from forged composites.

We don’t know exactly what will be used under the hood of the sports car, but the concept version is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder attached to a classic six-speed gearbox. The engine delivers a total of 402 HP and 354 pound-feet of torque. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph is made in just 3.9 seconds, while top speed is of course limited to 155 mph. Hopefully we will see either this configuration or something a bit more powerful on the production Quattro.

Looking at the weight of the car its kind of heavy and at first i thought it would be a gas guzzler, but it wasn’t. Well, actually its fuel-efficient and 3.9 sprint time is impressive too.

What’s with the green light? Well, I hope that they would update this article soon! Anyway, I am hoping either a configuration or a more powerful engine on the production of it. Moreover, I would admit also that I admire it so much!

Its hexagonal front grille looks so perfect with this coupe. I also noticed that it really looks very attractive on its white body paint. I am only hoping that they would use an impressive engine for this one.

Quattro’s design is really very refreshing! Well, I must say that it is already looking so perfect on its exterior detailing, but hopefully that this time they reinforced the engine that they are usually used for their vehicle.

Yeah! I have to agree with you Nilde Mazzi, that the style and design of this Quattro Coupe are truly very different from the other Audi car, and it is really looking so refreshing!

This coupe is so different from their other car, and I must say that it absolutely looks very perfect! smiley I’m also glad to know that it had a less weight than RS5 had, which can surely add more factors on its speed performance!

This one is really the better coupe that Audi could produce. Well, aside from having a good-looking appearance it also had an impressive engine specification.

I hope that they will use an impressive engine for this coupé that can deliver a powerful horsepower, so it will not hesitated on its aggressive appearance. I also hope that it had a striking interior.
