A host of spyshots of the Audi A6's->ke934 line has been sent our way over the past few weeks. This time, the new A6 Allroad takes its turn in the spotlight and our observing eyes. At first glance, there are a number of things we noticed about these latest batch of spy pics, particularly the modified front end that now features new headlights with new DRLs.

The shape remains relatively the same, although don't expect the company's laser lights technology to be part of it. That's still years away from happening so temper the hype on that one. Moving away from the lights, the grille and the front bumper of the A6->ke934 Allroad also look different, although we expect the former to return to its normal configuration once the model draws closer to its Paris->ke227 debut.

There's more to these spy photos than just the subtle tweaks done on the front. The rear end also received some distinct styling modifications while the interior will also get a handful of new upgrades.

Spy Shots

May 20, 2014 - Audi A6 Allroad testing at Nurburgring

March 21, 2014 - Audi A6 Facelift testing in winter conditions

Look closely and you might notice that the tailights are different, even if the overall shape of the shell where its encased is still the same. Minor changes can also be seen on the rear bumper, even if its a little difficult to make out from these photos, thanks to the snow clinging for dear life.

Our sources also indicate that new engines are also in the pipeline for the A6 Allroad. Whatever speculations we all have for the wagon/crossover, our questions will be answered later this year when the vehicle makes its debut at the Paris Motor Show.

Competitors

Mercedes E-Class Wagon

The current-generation E-Class was just revised last year, and even though it only received small updates, the changes were enough to freshen up the model's looks. The most noticeable upgrades are the new headlights and the revised aprons, but the interior also features more premium materials, precise lines and clearly defined surfaces.

For the U.S. market, Mercedes is offering just three E-Class models: a E350 with its 302-horsepower, V-6 engine; a E500 with its 402-horsepower, V-8 engine; and a new E250 BlueTEC powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine with 190 horsepower.

BMW 5 Series Touring

Just like the Mercedes E-Class Wagon, the 5 Series Touring's latest incarnation only received minor revisions, including, a modified front apron, sharply contoured taillights, and new-look lower air intakes. Meanwhile, a new chrome trim, new upholstery colors, and more space for your cargo are the highlights of the 5 Series Touring's interior upgrades.

A host of engines are also offered for the 5 Series Touring, including a new a four-cylinder diesel engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology that delivers a total of 143 horsepower and a mammoth V-8 for the 550i that produces 450 horsepower.

2013 Audi A6 Allroad

The Current UK-based Audi A6 Allroad comes standard with a 3.0-liter TDI with 204 PS and 450 Nm of torque, plus it has two other 3.0-liter TDI units that produce 245 PS and 313 PS. The Allroad's main attraction is its more rugged appearance that includes mile body cladding and a slightly higher ride height.
