2015 Audi Quattro Coupe

The 2010 Paris Auto Show brought us many concepts, but while the Lotus five-year plan has since fizzled to nothing and the Renault Dezir is only planned to be chopped up and used for inspirational parts, Audi is pushing forward with a production version of the Quattro concept . That’s right, the Quattro has been given the green light for limited production which should be ready for the 2015 model year.

The production Quattro will be based on Audi’s latest aluminum spaceframe chassis with a body built in carbon fiber-reinforced plastic. It will weigh in at about 660 lbs less than the RS5 as seen on the prototypes already testing. It will also feature a wheelbase that has been reduced by 150 mm and an interior featuring seats made from forged composites.

We don’t know exactly what will be used under the hood of the sports car, but the concept version is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder attached to a classic six-speed gearbox. The engine delivers a total of 402 HP and 354 pound-feet of torque. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph is made in just 3.9 seconds, while top speed is of course limited to 155 mph. Hopefully we will see either this configuration or something a bit more powerful on the production Quattro.

UPDATE 08/24/2012: Sources have told AutoBild that the future Audi Quattro Coupe (internally known as the Q35) will only feature small bits of inspiration from the Quattro Concept displayed at the 2011 Paris Auto Show. Other than that, the four-seater, two door sports car will have short overhangs, a flat roof, LED headlights and taillights, 20" wheels, and some hood-mounted air vents inspired by the original Quattro. In terms of power, the Quattro will feature a supercharged 2.5L five-cylinder engine mated to a dual clutch S-tronic transmission. This engine will produce 380 HP and send the Quattro from 0-62 mph in a little over four seconds.

AutoBild is predicting that the Audi Quattro will debut in March 2013 to coincide with the original Quattro’s 35th anniversary, hence the internal Q35 designation. It will be priced somewhere between the Audi TT and the Audi R8, which will fill in the gap nicely with the $38,650 and $114,200 price tags of the aforementioned models.

Yeah, they figured it that it will have an output of 380HP, but they made it still on that output without having it improved for a better powerful performance.

This coupe is well needed in the market today. Its a good bridge between expensive and cheap coupes. Its front fascia kinda reminds me of the lfa tho.

Looking at the weight of the car its kind of heavy and at first i thought it would be a gas guzzler, but it wasn’t. Well, actually its fuel-efficient and 3.9 sprint time is impressive too.

What’s with the green light? Well, I hope that they would update this article soon! Anyway, I am hoping either a configuration or a more powerful engine on the production of it. Moreover, I would admit also that I admire it so much!

Its hexagonal front grille looks so perfect with this coupe. I also noticed that it really looks very attractive on its white body paint. I am only hoping that they would use an impressive engine for this one.

Quattro’s design is really very refreshing! Well, I must say that it is already looking so perfect on its exterior detailing, but hopefully that this time they reinforced the engine that they are usually used for their vehicle.

Yeah! I have to agree with you Nilde Mazzi, that the style and design of this Quattro Coupe are truly very different from the other Audi car, and it is really looking so refreshing!

This coupe is so different from their other car, and I must say that it absolutely looks very perfect! smiley I’m also glad to know that it had a less weight than RS5 had, which can surely add more factors on its speed performance!

This one is really the better coupe that Audi could produce. Well, aside from having a good-looking appearance it also had an impressive engine specification.

I’m glad that they were using a turbo charged engine for this concept. Well, this Quattro Coupe of Audi is definitely a good-looking car and very appealing to its aesthetic design.

This Quattro Coupe is absolutely looking great on its aesthetic design and decent body paint, and I noticed that the wheels of this one, is only adds more appeal on it.

I hope that they will use an impressive engine for this coupé that can deliver a powerful horsepower, so it will not hesitated on its aggressive appearance. I also hope that it had a striking interior.

Impressive Quattro Coupe, well I bet anyone will get so excited on this coupe. I love the angst that it had and the classy look of it even the elegance.

Agreed! I was amazed on this production for it has an impressive platform and it looks so sporty, as expected from the Audi! I think it’s a great bonus that they don’t put a speed limiter for this sportscar.

Agreed. Its been a long time before the Audi has announced the concept of this vehicle. I was impressed on how the Audi have perfectly combine the sportiness and luxurious for this vehicle. The speed performance of the Quattro is kind of awesome!

Yeah, you have a point I rather wait for the modified version of this car. It seems that the reduced in the weight of the car helps to speed up the car.

I do believe that the Quattro coupe has amazing aesthetics. However, I do hope that a good tuning company would modify the engine performance of this car because its not that powerful.

I like this car aesthetically really looks amazing. However, I’m afraid that the speed performance of this car is not that impressive since its too heavy.

Well, Zosimos, I really don’t consider this car kind of ugly actually Audi has the cutest yet aggressive face that i have seen. And the engine performance of this car is quite amazing! I can’t wait to test drive this one!

The front really wins it all for this car. While it still retains its Audi looks, there is something to it that makes it quite remarkable and unique.
