BMW’s 5-Series GT hasn’t been as successful as the company hoped it would be. However, the Bavarian company will expand its Gran Turismo line-up with the addition of two new models, one based on the 3-Series and one on the 1-Series. Audi hopes it can stunt the success of these models as well with its new A4 Superavant. Audi’s new model will be built on the A4 platform and will be built to fill the gap between the A4 Avant, the Q5, and the up and coming BMW X6-competitor, the Q6 crossover. As for the name, there are three different possibilities: A4 Sportback, A4 Avantissimo, or A4 Superavant, the latter being the most likely. Under the hood, expect to find a 255 HP 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a 2.0-liter TDI rated at 197 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The new A4 Superavant will be offered as a concept sometime in 2014, with a production version to follow two years later. .
11 comments: Audi A4 Superavant 255 Horsepower is not that bad. But if they will use it to compete in a race, changing its engine is a must for Audi A4 Superavant.
 A4 Superavant would be a great asset for Audi and a big threat for their competitors. I think it would be a good idea if they will showcase this model. Though Porsche is still there, the competition will become stiff for them surely.
 Whoa. The production date is still so faraway, yet the specs can be even considered inferior to the recent cars.
 This one looks good for me. I mean, it’s not necessary to find a speed and powerful car for just your business use, right? What most important is the comfort that you can achieve while you are driving and the enough speed with right fuel economy.
 I wonder whether Audi will also be able to showcase their luxury cars like Porsche did? This A4 Superavant would be perfect for that event.
 I wish Audi will do a line-up of all its models just like what Porsche did. It will help people determine which is best suited for their liking.
 Is this A4 Superavant a hatchback sedan? Well, I like what is under the hood of this model. However, I also want to see its performance on the road.
