Even though the summer is slowing reaching the end, you should still prepare your convertible for maximum enjoyment of what is left of the sunshine and warm weather. Senner Tuning is offering you the perfect solution to make those summer days even more enjoyable in your Audi S5 Convertible .

Senner Tuning did tons of work under the hood where the 3.0 liter V-6 engine was upgraded to deliver a total of 435 horsepower and a peak torque of 369 pound-feet. That’s a huge jump over the stock 333 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. In order to obtain this upgrade, Senner tweaked the ECU and installed a new exhaust system.

The all-new valve controlled exhaust system features four tailpipes that provide plenty of throaty noise. This system features a cleverly-devised control system that allows for a regulation of the exhaust sound intensity and tone. The active exhaust system even shows the mode it is in on the S5’s dashboard display.

Senner also removed the speed limiter to allow the S5 to top out well above the usual 155 mph.

There’s a distinct thematic change when moving up Audi’s performance ranks from A to S to RS models. This four-door super-limo sticks to the script by offering the controlled but comfortable ride of the A8 paired with extreme power and sprint performance.

How quick is the S8? What do you have to drag race it against? It’s beaten everything from the R8 to the BMW Alpina B7 . Only a select few cars on earth can beat this beast for sheer effortless pace. Just floor it and hang on tight.

The S8 is then a luxury barge with the performance potential to pass an R8 without really trying. It is one of those cars you can imagine Audi executives designing for themselves first and offering for sale second.

The S8 comes in atop the other A8 variants, including a TDI for 2014, but below the range-topping A8 L W12. After the BMW ’s shaming at the drag strip, only the upcoming Bentley Flying Spur and the brand-new 2014 S63 AMG 4Matic can keep up with this level of AWD pace. Oh, and don’t forget the crushing prowess of the Porsche Panamera Turbo .

The A8 /S8 pair is unique within the Volkswagen Group because the costly aluminum space frame and panels are not sharable assets for Bentley or Porsche at the moment. The addition of a world-beating 520 horsepower twin-turbo V-8 engine and eight-speed automatic mean the S8 is one of the most desirable super sedans available at any price.

The major downsides for the A8 – old man styling, slowness – virtually disappear when the car is packing the S8 engine and body kit. Is it enough to earn sales from the extremely capable competition?

There was a time when the S4 was the most exciting Audi offered in the United States. What a difference 10 years can make. The S4 is now joined by the S5 , RS5 , S6 and R8 sports models with more appearing on the horizon every year. In the face of the new lineup, the S4 looks pretty tame by comparison.

The looks are deceiving, however. The S4 may have lost its shouty atmospheric V-8 engine for this generation, but replaces it with a supercharged V-6 that weights nearly 200 pounds less and delivers acceleration sprints in the mid 4’s all day long. The $50,000 S4 offers a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic or a rare six-speed manual.

The 2014 S4 faces a mild identity crisis in the face of the increasingly expensive BMW M3 that has long been its arch nemesis. Audi makes sure that even the speedy 335Xi model cannot keep up with the S4 in a straight line. Otherwise, S4 the package stays pretty similar to the core A4 style and value proposition. In fact, the S4 is basically just an engine and handling package over the base A4 that is only offered in 2.0-liter form.

How does it stack up versus the 335Xi and the 2014 Cadillac CTS Vsport ? All three sedans are offered with AWD and run extra-powerful V-6 engines that use forced induction to increase power while maintaining decent efficiency stats.

Audi added the A5 Coupe to its lineup back in 2007 as a direct response to models like BMW 3 Series Coupe. Two years later, the lineup was further expanded with the addition of a convertible version. The only update the A5 received was back in 2011, when Audi offered a revised exterior and interior look.

For the 2014 model year, the A5 remains basically unchanged and American customers can choose between the usual Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige trim levels. For the 2014 model year, the Premium Plus and Prestige models will be offered with an S-line competition package. Additionally, all the A5 models get an optional Black Optic package and new 19-inch Titanium Rotor wheels.

Also, for the 2014 model year, the only engine offered on the U.S. market - the 2.0 TFSI engine - was tricked to deliver extra power. To help it better compete with the C-Class and 4 Series .

The Audi press update for the 2014 TT reads like an obituary. There are actually a couple things to celebrate with this run-out special roadster and 2+2 coupe. Basically everything is included on the 2014 TT twins as standard: S-line trim, DSG, MRC and Quattro to name a few. The combo can still hustle the little Audi to 60 mph in just over five seconds.

So why all the doom and gloom? The second-generation TT is very old at this point and really needs the facelift that is coming next year. Audi has also promised the car will be lighter and more performance-focused than ever before.

The TT needs a new style because it is already pretty sophisticated and lightweight. It drives with the old inert Audi style that some do not enjoy as much as rear-drive competitors. Mostly, however, the problems with this car are image-based.

The TT has competition from more-focused cars, like the BMW Z4 , Mercedes-Benz SLK and even the forthcoming Scion FR-S convertible . Apart from the Scion , all are actually far more expensive than this little rocket’s $38,000 price.

Is this year the best time to jump into the Audi TT with all the equipment and a few discounts as well?

Audi’s resident luxury SUV, the Q7 , is returning with a 2014 model that features plenty of enhancements, giving the SUV a powerful and progressive design combined with functional spaciousness that’s much needed in the market these days.

It’s a little hard to believe that the Q7 is a relatively young model, having made its debut only 8 years ago at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show. Since then, though, it has come to define the German automaker’s SUV offerings, spawning the Q5 and the Q3 along the way.

Make no mistake; the Q7 still has its hands full against some stellar competition in the form of the BMW X5 and the Mercedes GL-Class . The former, in particular, is a new-generation model that wants nothing more than to stake claim in the supremely competitive luxury SUV market. The latter’s got some take in it, too, so you can’t just brush both these SUVs aside when you’re thinking about the Q7.

That being said, Audi appears to be confident in its treatment of the 2014 Q7, including the plethora of exterior and interior upgrades that owners can truly appreciate.

The Audi A7 is one of the latest models added to Audi ’s lineup. It was previewed by the Sportback concept in 2009, with the production version that arrived in 2010. The top version - S7 - was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show and put on sale in early 2012.

Audi decided to add a four-door coupe to its lineup after seeing the success of the Mercedes CLS-Class . Shortly after, Porsche added the Panamera and then just recently, BMW served up the all-new 6 Series Gran Coupe for more discerning buyers.

As it is still too soon to talk about any possible updates, the S7 continues to remain unchanged for the 2014 model year, with the only new addition being an available Black Optic and bicolor package that features a black optic grille with high-gloss Single-frame surround and gloss-black window surround.

To say that the second-generation Audi TT is on its last legs is a massive understatement. It’s barely getting by at this point, especially with the recent arrival of next-generation competitors, like the Porsche Cayman .

Granted, it’s all part of Audi’s eight-year cycle and since the second generation TT – including the TTS and TT-RS - arrived in 2006, it’s still on schedule to deliver generation three in 2014.

That’s the glass half-full way of looking at Audi’s TT lineup. The glass half-empty way of looking at it is that the second generation TT is still chugging along, with only minor upgrades given to the 2014 model.

We’re confident that Audi’s going to come strong with the next-generation TT. It always does. It’s just that we’ll all have to wait for that day to come.

For now, it’s just another TT facelift and to its credit, Audi did the best it could to give it that modern look. And sometimes, that really is the most it can do.

Audi R20

Last year, we heard the first details on a possible Audi diesel-electric supercar. It was supposed to be offered with a diesel engine combined with an electric motor for a total output of around 700 horsepower and at least 737 pound-feet of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in the 3-second range.

But as this sounded just too good to be true, new reports suggest that Audi dropped the idea of offering such a supercar. Instead, it appears that Audi’s focus is squarely on the production version of the Sport Quattro concept set to be unveiled in Frankfurt.

The model was rumored to be named Scorpion or R20 and was supposedly based on the R18 racecar. From the sounds of it, Audi has already prepared several design concepts for the new supercar, but now it has "bigger and more pressing issues to tackle."

This decision made a few Audi people very unhappy, but it’s not a big surprise to us, considering that electric technology is still in its early stages, as the company announced that another electric vehicle, the R8 e-tron, wouldn’t make it to production.

The Audi S6 is the only Volkswagen Group model so far to use the revolutionary new twin-turbo V-8 paired with the firm’s twin-clutch transmission. The technical merits of the design allow the S6 to beat the remarkable sub-4-second sprint stats achieved by the larger S8 despite packing 100 fewer horsepower.

The transition from the luxury A6 to the S6 is a comprehensive redesign of nearly all the car’s key mechanical systems and components. The exterior style barely moves forward from the A6 S-line but does include a number of S6-exclusive elements, like the giant quad exhaust system, and deeper fascias and bumpers.

The S6 raises the bar on every aspect of the standard A6’s performance. It also changes the car’s competitive set from BMW 535i and Mercedes E350 models up to the Porsche Panamera and the new E63 AMG 4Matic . For 2014, the S6 has some reshuffled option packages and a new Black Optics trim pack to increase car’s road presence.

The Porsche Panamera is the S6’s biggest competitive threat for buyer attention. Does the Audi have the chops to dethrone the ranking AWD performance sedan king?
