Bentley Continental Flying Spur

  The Bentley Continental Flying Spur and Flying Spur Speed is a full size luxury four door sedan from the English automaker. Both models are powered by a 6.0L twin turbocharged W12 that is mated to a six-speed automatic, but the Flying Spur only gets 552hp and 479lb-ft of torque while the Flying Spur Speed gets 600 HP and 553 lb-ft of torque. These numbers help the Bentley accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in 4.8 seconds and reach a 200 MPH top speed making it the world's fastest four door saloon.

Renntech, the tuning company specialised in Mercedes vehicles showed that it can customize also other cars, not only the ones produced by the German manufactuer. With the unveiling of the new 600+ hp ECU tuning package Renntech added on its list of customized vehicles the British manufacturer Bentley.

With the new ECU package the engine of the car is boosted from 552 to 625 hp. The tunner also added a lowering module for the Bentley which allows the owners to lower it up to 50 mm. The American manufacturer offers the ECU software upgrade at a price of $6400 for the Bentley Continental GT and Flying Spur and $6800 for the GT Speed coupe while the lowering module is available at a price of $1395. Maybe not all of you folks know about the Japanese tuner ASI. Well, ASI is a tuning company specialized in customizing Bentley cars established in Japan. Bentley range received recently a customization program from the Japanese tuning company, a program that not only modifies the interior of the car, but also the exterior and the engine.

The vehicles received custom 22” alloy wheels, an aggressive bodykit but also an engine upgrade from 560hp to 640hp as well as brake and suspension kits in order to deliver better handling.

ASI is preparing another customized Bentley, called „Tetsu”. The „Tetsu”, with the help of ECU chipping, exhaust modifications and transmission upgrades, will deliver 800hp an will be limited to only 29 units, each at a price of US$600,000. If anyone wants to order their customized Bentley, you have to know that in the USA the cars will be sold through Platinum Motorsport dealer, based in California. Stay tuned, ASI said that it will announce more details at the end of this month.

Bentley will operate a mild facelift for the Continental GT as well for the Continental Flying Spur. These are the first pictures with both modified models on a winter test before the official release. Like every cheap car the luxurious British cars have to endure an aesthetic operation some time. At Geneva Motor Show, BF-Performance presented a Bentley Continental Bentley Continental Flying Spur with several features. The car is fitted with electrically controlled curtains for the rear side windows and the rear window, electrically controlled picnic tables and a large fridge with ice maker fitted in the rear. The Bentley Continental Flying Spur was the four-door derivative of the standard Bentley Continental automobile, made by Bentley Motors of England. It was launched in 1957 and deleted on the launch of the more modern Bentley T-series in 1966. It was hailed as one of the fastest four-door saloons of its day, and each of the three series paralleled developments in the basic Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud series.
