German tuner DMC knows a thing or two about going overboard on some of its projects. Not that it's a bad thing because anytime DMC has a program to unveil, we all stand up and take notice.

It's latest creation definitely lives up to that billing.

This is the Bentley Continental GT->ke401 DURO China->ke2090 Edition, a far more powerful and dare we say, more sinister looking Continental GT than the one we're accustomed to seeing.

The matte-black finish on the body's exterior already speaks to us the way matte finishes always do. A new carbon-fiber front bumper was also installed, which not only increases the car's length by two inches but also improves its aerodynamic capabilities. As if the already fine-handling Continental GT needed any more it.

Other new additions to the exterior package include new LED daytime running lights, new side skirts, a new carbon-fiber rear bumper with a lightweight diffuser, a new carbon-fiber rear spoiler and a new set of 22-inch, diamond-forged, matte-black alloys wrapped in 295/25R22 tires.

On the performance front, DMC installed a new titanium exhaust system, a new sports air filter, and a remapped ECU, which allows the luxury coupe's 4.0-liter V-8 to now produce 672 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of torque -- a nice spike from the factory 500 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque. That's enough power to hit 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds to go with a top speed of 202 mph.

That's a long list of incredible upgrades, enough to justify DMC's standing as one of the world's most aggressive aftermarket tuners.

2013 Bentley Continental GT DURO China Edition

We don't really know why DMC dubbed this one the DURO China Edition without making any mention of the car being sold in that country. But as far as aesthetics and performance upgrades go, this tuned-up Continental GT will fit right in on a number of high-class markets.

From all the carbon-fiber aero components to the impressive performance upgrade that nets a significant increase in output for the British luxury sports coupe, DMC really proved its worth once again. As if there was any doubt in the first place.

2013 Bentley Continental GT

The new Bentley Continental GT V8 may carry similar styling details as its predecessor but its new 4.0-liter, V-8 engine is definitely one to take serious note of.

It delivers 500 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 487 pound-feet of torque available between 1,700 to 5,000 rpm, allowing it to spring from 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds, while keeping top speed at around 180 mph. Fuel economy and CO2 emissions have also been improved significantly with Bentley promising that when equipped with the new V8 engine, the Continental models will be capable of traveling over 500 miles on a single tank of fuel.
