Onyx Bespoke Automotive has released a new program for the Bentley Continental GT V8 , showing that even a British marquee known for its luxury can be treated to some sportiness and pure aggression.
Then again, we shouldn’t be surprised that Onyx is capable of doing something like this; the tuning company has established itself as one of the finest Bentley tuners in the world. For its latest program, Onyx has developed quite a treat of a program for the Continental GT V8, dubbing it the GTX.
The rather radical cosmetic change done on the Continental is only the first of many things we love about what Onyx did to the luxury coupe. Full carbon and polycarbonate were the materials of choice on the aerodynamic components. The front, sides and rear of the Continental each received their aero modifications, bringing life to a luxury coupe that now looks wider and more taut than its standard configuration.
The car’s suspension was also given the old upgrade treatment with Onyx establishing a wider track and lowering the ride height by 10 mm (0.39 inches), allowing the Continental improved handling characteristics.
A set of 22-inch wheels are also offered in a multitude of colors, while the car’s V-8 is upgraded to develop a full 600 horsepower, improving its 0-60 mph time by a full second to just a little over four seconds.

The new Bentley Continental GT V8 may carry similar styling details as its predecessor but its new 4.0-liter, V-8 engine is definitely one to take serious note of.
It delivers 500 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 487 pound-feet of torque available between 1,700 to 5,000 rpm, allowing it to spring from 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds, while keeping top speed at around 180 mph. Fuel economy and CO2 emissions have also been improved significantly with Bentley promising that when equipped with the new V8 engine, the Continental models will be capable of traveling over 500 miles (800 km) on a single tank of fuel.
