The neighborhood of Beverly Hills in Los Angeles doesn’t lack in its share of fancy sports cars, luxury cars and supercars. On just about every corner you’ll find one of these vehicles, just like luxury automakers that have dealerships scattered all over the surrounding areas.
One of them is Bentley Beverly Hills, and recently they came out with a limited edition Continental GTC that’s fixing to have an owner whisk it away. The car has been distinctively painted with custom Tiffany Celeste Pearlescent paint that we haven’t seen on a Bentley before. Needless to say, the finish looks downright stunning.
Adding to the visual visage of the limited-edition Continental GTS with a choice of either liquid-silver or matte-black-finished 22-inch CEC C881 wheels wrapped in a set of Continental Extreme Contact ultra-high performance all-season tires.
No performance upgrades were given to this limited-edition Continental GTC, so expect to see the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine that produces 500 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque. The engine is definitely one that should give the looks of the limited edition Continental GTC a suitable technical partner.
We know that only certain types of people are big fans of Bentley cars, but for sure everyone out there is a big fan of Jackie Chan. He is one of the few actors in Hollywood that performs his own crazy stunts, making him a favorite among movie goers, so Bentley’s decision to feature him in their latest Bentley Mulsanne Visionaries films is not a big surprise.
The episode he was featured in is called "Up in Smoke." The short film was shot in China and presents the dualist character of the Mulsanne: sophistication combined with impressive athleticism.
In this episode of the Bentley Mulsanne Visionaries series, Jackie finds himself chauffeuring a businessman through the streets of China. As the businessman reclines his seat to catch a few minutes of shut-eye, Jakie flips a switch in the massive luxury car and shows us just how athletic this monster is. After Jakie has had enough, he simply tops the car, gets out a “poof” he disappears.
The Bentley Mulsanne was unveiled at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and, with the exception of some special editions, it has remained the same ever since. For the 2014 model year, however, Bentley has announced a series of new luxury features, ranging from new suite of communication and entertainment system options up to new paints. This updated Mulsanne will be unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and will go on sale one month later.
The most significant update includes the addition of two new packages — Comfort and Entertainment — that will update both the comfort and the technologically features of the Mulsanne.
Customers can also choose between three new exterior colors — Dark Cashmere, Portofino and Damson — combined with three new interior ones: Damson, Saffron and Brunel.
Unfortunately no changes were made in the place that needed it the most: under the hood. This means that the Mulsanne will continue to be offered with the same 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 as in the previous years.

Since its concept was launched at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show to a lukewarm reception, Volkswagen didn’t convey any special interest for a Bentley SUV. That was the case, until today.
Bentley CEO Wolfgang Schreiber has confirmed that the Bentley SUV will go into production in three years’ time, after completion of design and prototype tests.
Yes, Schreiber confirms that the production model will borrow very few elements from the EXP 9F concept and will follow the current design language that is seen in the current Continental GT and Mulsanne. That’s one thing for people who are still interested in the project to celebrate about, given the fact that the EXP 9F wasn’t really one of Bentley’s greatest creations. Schreiber promises that the new design will be instantly recognizable as a true Bentley, meaning it wouldn’t look anywhere close to the ugly EXP 9F Concept.
Design aside, Schreiber also gives us an insight as to what sort of powertrain will drive the large Bentley. The SUV will be powered by the same 4.4-liter V-8 engine from the Continental GT V8 but with fewer horsepower. Also on the cards is a top-of-the-range W-12 engine, though we figure that it’s unlikely to make it into the production model. What we can expect, however, is a diesel powertrain for the European market and a hybrid powertrain.
With the Bentley SUV receiving a green light for production, will its close cousin, the Lamborghini Urus, see the light of day any time? We don’t know. But, customers looking for a Range Rover counterpart can finally look forward to one in their nearest showrooms, three years from now.
The Detroit Auto Show just isn’t a place to see all-new model, it is also a great place to get juicy news for future developments. Included in the news gathered from Detroit is that Bentley has finally felt the itch to develop a plug-in Hybrid model after a successful track record of announcing cars powered by fuel-chugging V-8s and W-12s.
With Rolls Royce already jumping onto the bandwagon with the Phantom 102EX, Bentley CEO Dr Wolfgang Schreiber has announced plans to introduce a green variant to Bentley’s lineup.
Such a variant will grace the bodies of the Bentleys starting within three years, as Schreiber is quoted saying “It might actually be too late for diesel now, plug-in hybrids offer an even better fuel economy and don’t alienate petrol-only markets, we won’t see them for the next three years, but for us a plug-in hybrid is a must.”
Bear in mind though, that the decision for a hybrid model hasn’t been confirmed by the board as diesel power is still in the cards. However, given the fact that diesel power isn’t very popular in Bentley’s strong markets — Middle East, U.S and China — a plug in hybrid system will most likely be the favorite choice among the Bentley Boys, according to Dr Schreiber.
If such a project takes off, expect the hybrid system to be developed by Volkswagen in coordination with Audi and Porsche. Details are still scarce on what particular system will be used. So, once they roll in, we’ll post them as soon as possible
After Bentley unveiled the Continental GT Speed at the 2012 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, it promised to debut the convertible version at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. While the show is still a few days away, Bentley decided to offer us the first details on the new drop-top. In fact, this is not such a big surprise, considering the first official images leaked on the Internet right before Christmas.
The GT Speed Convertible will be offered with the same technology as its coupe sibling and will be able to hit a top speed of 202 mph — 3 mph less than the coupe version – which is good enough to make it the fastest the fastest four-seat convertible in the world.
Next to being very fast, Bentley has also promised that the new GT Speed Convertible can be driven in any weather conditions, ranging from -30°C to +50°C or more. This impressive performance can be achieved thanks to the car’s four-layer hood and the neck warmer.

Apart from the eye-sore of a paint-job, the Bentley GTC Speed retains the aggressive stance of the GT Speed sans the roof. While it’s fun to drive with open-top freedom, it does add some extra weight and hampers the stability of the vehicle, though none of these problems are of concern if you’re intent on torturing it at a track.
Staying true to the "Speed" suffix, the convertible is powered by the 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine pulled straight out of its hard-top twin, it develops 625-horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, which is quite a lot for a GT luxury cruiser. With an expected time of 4.2 seconds to hit 60mph from standstill and a top speed of 200mph, this makes it the fastest convertible offering since the Bentley Continental Supersports ISR Convertible.
It’s expected to be unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show with a price slightly more than the $220,725 of its hard-top variant. But, being a Bentley, customers wouldn’t fret paying the extra premium for open-top freedom.
When Bentley unveiled the Continental GT3 Concept at the 2012 Paris Auto Show, it announced it will be specially produced for the FIA GT3 European Championship. Today, Bentley has finally announced that the production version GT3 will be developed in cooperation with M-Sport Ltd — a company famous for its successful running of World Rally Programs since 1997, including winning two Manufacturers World Rally Championships.
The Continental GT3 will be developed as "an extremely competitive race car" and most likely the production version will have the same technological features offered in the concept version. This means under the hood we will see a W-12 engine combined with a rear-wheel-drive chassis in accordance with the regulations. There will also be a comprehensive aerodynamic package, including a large rear wing and a front bumper made of carbon fiber.
The production version Continental GT3 will make its first on-track appearance by the end of 2013. The model will be produced at Bentley’s new motorsport department at the factory in Crewe.

This model has been specially developed for those that cannot let a minor detail, like traveling across town, interrupt work.
The new Mulsanne Executive Edition offers its rear passengers the greatest comfort ever offered in a limousine, along with all of the latest technologies needed to work while traveling. This model comes with free WiFi, two iPads with built-in keyboards, two screens inside the headrest and a 15.6-inch centrally located high-definition LED screen.
The car is also fitted with a Mac Mini, controlled by the supplied wireless touchpad. The passenger can access it via the twin USB ports positioned in the center console.
Bentley announced that the new Mulsanne Executive Edition can be customized by each client, depending on his personal needs and wishes.
