Onyx Bespoke Automotive has released a new program for the Bentley Continental GT V8 , showing that even a British marquee known for its luxury can be treated to some sportiness and pure aggression.

Then again, we shouldn’t be surprised that Onyx is capable of doing something like this; the tuning company has established itself as one of the finest Bentley tuners in the world. For its latest program, Onyx has developed quite a treat of a program for the Continental GT V8, dubbing it the GTX.

The rather radical cosmetic change done on the Continental is only the first of many things we love about what Onyx did to the luxury coupe. Full carbon and polycarbonate were the materials of choice on the aerodynamic components. The front, sides and rear of the Continental each received their aero modifications, bringing life to a luxury coupe that now looks wider and more taut than its standard configuration.

The car’s suspension was also given the old upgrade treatment with Onyx establishing a wider track and lowering the ride height by 10 mm (0.39 inches), allowing the Continental improved handling characteristics.

A set of 22-inch wheels are also offered in a multitude of colors, while the car’s V-8 is upgraded to develop a full 600 horsepower, improving its 0-60 mph time by a full second to just a little over four seconds.

It looks like Bentley has some big plans for the next six years, or so. Along with the new SUV that is penciled in to arrive in 2015, the new-generation for the Continental and the new Mulsanne lineup, the company also talking about a new, four-door coupe that will target models like BMW M6 Gran Coupe and Mercedes CLS 63 AMG.

The new Bentley is penciled in for 2018 as either a standalone model or as part of the Continental family. The new model will be similar in size to the Continental GT, and it will sit on Volkswagen Group’s MSB platform, which will see its first assignment under the next Porsche Panamera that will arrive in 2015.

This new platform will also be used for all the upcoming Bentley models — Mulsanne, Continental and the new baby-Bentley — and it has the advantage of making the cars lighter, and accommodating a wide array of engines, ranging from a base four-cylinder and to the mighty W-12.

If this new four-door coupe makes its way onto the market, buyers can expect a price ranging from €125k ($169k) to €150k ($200k).

Bentley Mulsanne Vision Concept

When Bentley introduced the Mulsanne Vision Concept at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance , it did so believing that the car would garner significant attention that would inevitably lead to the company green-lighting a production version sooner than later.

Well, it appears that even the best laid plans sometimes go up in smoke after Bentley CEO, Wolfgang Schreiber, officially confirmed that the a production Mulsanne convertible isn’t in the cards anymore.

Speaking to Car & Driver, Schreiber stated that Bentley will not do the Mulsanne Convertible anymore because the demand for the car isn’t strong enough to justify the time and resources the company would have to put into it. "The demand for a Mulsanne convertible is just regional," Schreiber explained before saying that only a handful of markets like the U.S. would welcome a convertible model of the company’s flagship luxury sedan.

It’s also worth pointing out that the sedan version of the Mulsanne didn’t exactly burn the sales charts when it went on sale — last year’s 1,169 units sold barely crossed the 1,200 mark — so the decision to ax the convertible model isn’t exactly surprising, especially in light of the company’s renewed attempts at building a new crossover .

Make no mistake, the British marquee still has plans of expanding its lineup in the near future. It’s just that the Mulsanne Convertible won’t be a part of it anymore.

With Maybach out of the picture , it’s not surprising to hear that Bentley plans to expand its lineup and enter new segments. The first model to roll out looks like it will be a convertible version of the current Mulsanne . According to a report coming from Automotive News, if the model gets approved, it will hit the market sometime in 2015. In fact, we have already seen sketches of the Mulsanne Convertible in August 2012.

Next, there will be a new premium crossover priced at about $250,000. The new crossover will be built as a production version of the EXP 9 SUV Concept, and it will arrive on the market in 2016. Just like with all of Bentley’s future models, the new crossover will share its platform with other models from the crowded Volkswagen Group. In the case of the crossover, it will share a platform with Lamborghini, Audi and Porsche.

The last model to arrive will be a new-generation Bentley Continental . It will be built on the same platform as the Audi A8 and Porsche Panamera,and will be offered in the usual GT coupe, GTC convertible and Flying Spur sedan.

After at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show Bentley unveiled the Continental GT V8 version. Now, the company plans to expand the Continental lineup at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show with the addition of a new Continental GT V8 S version.

Offered in both coupe and convertible version, the new model is characterized by an extra 21 horsepower, a revised suspension and increased performance figures. In short, Bentley described its latest creation as "sleeker, faster and more responsive." Also, despite the extra power, the new Continental GT V8 S deliver impressive fuel economy figures, including an incredible driving range of 500 miles.

Along with the extra power, the model also received updates to the exterior look, the addition of two specially developed exterior paints, a revised interior look and the usual list of standard Bentley features.

Two of the most prestigious sports cars offered from the British market are the 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish and the 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed . The folks over at Motor Trend decided to see which one was better by putting the two head to head.

In the latest episode of Head 2 Head, Carlos Lago took the two luxury sports cars and wanted to see how they stacked up to one another. He took them to the Motor Trend’s dynamic testing course and pushed them to their limits, then moved to the canyon roads where he seemed to have all the fun in the world throwing these two powerful machines through twists and accelerating on straightaways.

The Aston Martin and Bentley models deliver similar levels of luxury, each is powered by a V-12 engine with more than 500 horsepower and both are priced in the $300k area. So, are they as equal in person as they are on paper? Check out video to find out!

Vorsteiner unveiled its first tuning kit for the Bentley Continental GT back in 2012 when it pleased us with a sweet “BR-10” package . The tuner is now on its second upgrade kit for the Continental GT with this new package that improves the car’s look, while also maintaining the car’s heritage and contemporary style.

As usual, Vorsteiner upgraded the look of the Bentley coupe with the addition of a new aerodynamic kit made in pre-preg carbon fiber. The kit includes a new front bumper, new side skirts and a new rear bumper to help add some extra aggressiveness to the Continental without going overboard.

Lastly, Vorsteiner also offers a deck lid spoiler, made in carbon fiber and a new set of forged monoblock wheels. Customers can choose between three different size wheels: 20, 21, or 22 inches.

After months of what seemed like endless teasing, Bulgarian tuning firm, Vilner, has finally released its beyond-insane program for the 2013 Bentley Continental GT.

We all know Vilner as crafters of some of the best interior programs in the business, but it really outdid itself this time. This extensive project also included some insane work on the exterior and, best of all, a performance program that really gave the Continental GT some serious horses under its hood.

It was a project that took eight months to build, but it sure was worth the wait; wasn’t it?

To the person who owns this Continental GT, we have no problem believing that you are a very happy person.

We would be, too, if Vilner did this to our Bentley. That is, if we happened to have a Bentley in our driveway...

For all the attention the Bentley Continental GT Le Mans Edition models are getting - and rightfully so - it’s important to note that Bentley also released a Le Mans Edition model for its flagship model, the Mulsanne .

For this model, Bentley really went to work on giving the Mulsanne Le Mans some unique styling cues, particularly the interior. Diamond-quilted hide seat coverings are just the start. There are also diamond-quilted hide door panels, illuminate tread plates, drilled alloy foot pedals, a Le Mans Edition clock face, an embroidered Le Mans badge on each headrest and tread plates with the limited edition name.

Outside, a new sport-tuned suspension and ‘Quad’ Effect Tailpipe Finishers were added and rounding out the whole package are a new set of two-piece five-spoke dark tint alloy wheels.

While the Continental Le Mans Edition models are getting more of the love, don’t sleep on the Mulsanne Le Mans, either.

Bentley is celebrating its six victories at the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours race over the years by unveiling a special Le Mans Edition. In fact, there are sixContinental GT models, each inspired by the driver that lead the cars to the victory. Each version will be limited to only 48 units.

The first version was inspired by John Duff, who obtain Bentley’s first win at Le Mans 24 Hours in 1924. This version is painted in Moonbeam paint, while the interior gets a two-tone Linen and Beluga with contrasting stitching.

The second version was inspired by the Dudley Benjafield - the driver who lead the team to victory in 1927. This version is coated in Verdant paint, while the interior gets a two-tone combination of Linen and Cumbrian Green with contrast stitching.

Next there is a version inspired by Woolf Barnato - the driver who obtain victories in 1928, 1929 and 1930. This version combines a Granite exterior paint with Hotspur interior and Beluga stitching. The fourth version was inspired by Tim Birkin and comes painted in Glacier White combined with a Beluga interior trim.

The fifth version was inspired by Glen Kidston - who claimed first place at Le Mans in 1930. The model dons Dark Sapphire exterior paint combined with a two-tone Newmarket Tan and Imperial Blue interior trim.

Finally, the sixth version was inspired by Guy Smith whom won the 2003 Le Mans 24 Hours. This model features a Beluga color on both exterior and the interior.

Each car will also get a unique Le Mans Edition numbered badge, Le Mans Edition clock face, embroidered Le Mans badge to each headrest, tread plates with the limited edition name and unique Le Mans Edition wheels.

Under the hood, these models retain the stock 6.0-liter W-12 engine that produces 616 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. This output sprints the Continental GT to 60 mph in 4 seconds and to a top speed of 205 mph.
