The BMW CS Concept first came about in 2007 where it made several appearances in many auto shows. The fastback sedan was slightly larger than the 7-Series and previewed many future features for BMW, including door handles that only come out when sensors detect motion.
The CS made a second appearance in 2008, and was said to preview BMW’s Gran Turismo. The concept was then shelved due to financial reasons, but seen again when the 5-series Gran Turismo sportback debuted in 2009.
Even if the BMW X6’s production will begin in 2008 there are no informations about the shape of this new crossover. All is know for sure about this new model is that the X6 will have to be a Crossover with the typical shapes of one coupe. And as Infomotori thinks, it will have the design inspired by the latest CS Concept.
The X6 will have a sporty design: a combination between sport and practical. The X6 will combine the look of a Coupe sports car with the dynamics of a SUV.

BMW has unveiled the CS Concept at the Shanghai auto show and according to their statement, the concept will inspire the future design irection under the leadership of American Chris Bangle.
The BMW four-door concept features Bangle’s touch, along with several new interpretations of classic BMW styling.
