BMW’s Individual program is the epitome of customization, carrying with a dramatic styling treat that really covers the needs and whims of its customers.

So with two new models in its fold — the M3 Sedan and the M4 Coupe — BMW quickly followed those releases up with Individual programs for both of the new M models .

As far as the latter is concerned, the modifications cover a wide range of new exterior and interior features, none more distinct than the Azuirte black exterior paint and the fancy wood trims on the interior.

Both the M3 Individual and its M4 counterpart will make their public debuts at the 2014 North American International Auto Show . That’s enough time for us to enjoy the holiday season and get ready for what promises to be an action-packed new year.

BMW seems to agree and what better way to jump start 2014 than to present special edition programs for its two newest models.

The BMW M3 has been tearing up racetracks and back roads since its introduction in 1983. Its small size, nimble handling, and powerful engines have propelled the two- and four-door sports car into the hearts of hotshoe drivers and hall-of-fames everywhere.

The M3’s many changes over the years have never seem to hurt its sparkling reputation, although some models are more sough-after than others. The outgoing 4.0-liter V-8, for instance – was something not quite befitting the M3 badge. Power? Yes, it had it, but delivery was never as smooth or predictable as the legendary 3.2-liter inline 6 cylinders of the E36 and E46 model M3s.

So when it came time BMW rework its premiere sports sedan, judicious marksmanship was needed to hit the intended target labeled ‘perfection.’ Follow along as we dive deep into the all-new 2015 BMW M3.

Update 12/17/2013: This review has been updated with all of the official specs and images.

Updated 01/15/2014: BimmerFestreports today that on the U.S. market the M3 will be priced from $62,000, not including $925 destination and handling. If these prices are for real, then the new M3 will priced pretty much identical to the old M3 sedan.

We are less than 24 hours away from the official launch of the 2014 BMW M3 and M4 Coupe. The much awaited sports coupe and sedan have been around the world showcasing their fancy new bodies and along the sidelines, BMW has been steady releasing details about the powertrain and other technical bits to the media. There’s excitement in the air as the zero hour approaches.

Meanwhile, insiders close to the journalism fraternity are hard work trying to get as much information out to the public as possible. A few hours ago, we brought you the first official high-resolution images of both the cars, which had apparently leaked onto the internet earlier in the day. Now, AutoBild has blown the lid off of the embargo by posting a video showing both the M3 and M4 being thrashed around the Ascari circuit in southern Spain.

Unfortunately, the video is in German. We’re sure those who understand the language will enjoy the introductory video shot by AutoBild magazine, and those of you who do not understand can still understand the language the in-line, six-pot engine speaks. The short video also includes the original E30 M3 , giving us an idea as to how much the M3 has evolved in the past three decades.

Consider this an early Christmas present from BMW . The respective debuts of the new M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe were initially earmarked for early next year, and the public debuts are still scheduled to take place at the North American International Auto Show . The first look at these new models, however, is now rumored to happen as early as this Thursday when Gran Turismo 6 drops a new DLC that features both the new M models.

In true BMW fashion, the German automaker decided that a nice little teaser video would do well enough to drive up the anticipation leading up to the online unveilings of both models.

Well, Mission accomplished, BMW.

The video itself doesn’t give us a close look at the two models, only a creative strobe lights effect that shows the silhouettes of both models. It wasn’t much at the end of the day, but it was enough to make us all geeked up to see if Thursday really is the day that the next generation M3 Sedan and the M4 Coupe finally make their world debuts, albeit in a virtual setting.

In the latest episode of Drive, Cris Harris receives a little surprise, as he was invited to drive BMW’s M3 DTM racecar . Now that’s a real surprise, as this is about as close to hitting the automotive lottery as one can get.

Harris tries to understand what makes the M3 DTM so special and how Bruno Spengler could score such impressive results with the racecar . After a short overview of the car, he got behind the wheel and the fun began. Harris seemed too have no trouble controlling a car that develops 480 horsepower, goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 3 seconds and up to a top speed of 186 mph, but then again, he is used to cars like that.

As usual. Harris had all the fun in the world behind the wheel, so his review is a must see. We assure you that this one video that will make you envy him in the end.

BMW stopped production of the M3 Convertible a while ago, and it is now preparing for the release of its replacement, the M4 Convertible , next year. Until the M4 drop-top hits the market, German tuner Leib Engineering is giving M3 Convertible owners a chance to push their hard-top 3er to the next level.

Just like with the rest of the M3 family, the convertible version is powered by a 4.0-liter, V-8 engine with a total output of 414 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, which was good enough to sprint the cabriolet to 60 mph in under five seconds. Leib Engineering obviously was not satisfied by these numbers, and pushed the M3 to 610 horsepower and 435 pound-feet of torque.

Getting the extra 196 ponies and 140 pound-feet of torque from the V-8 engine required a G-Power SK II CS supercharger, an additional fuel pump system, high-performance injector nozzles, colder spark plugs, induction air track made of carbon/stainless steel and an ECU remap.

The kit also includes a new sports exhaust system with double 100-cell sports catalytic converters from HJS and an exhaust valve that can be controlled through the M button on the steering wheel. The exhaust system features 65 mm (2.55-inch) diameter pipes, which is a nice jump from the factory 60 mm (2.36-inch) pipes.

The final step in creating this amazing M3 was to update the suspension and chassis to handle all of the extra power. This includes a KW DDC coilover setup that the driver can adjust via the M button or through the Electronic Damper Control button.

G-Power continues to expand its Hurricane lineup with the addition of a new tuning kit based on the BMW M3 . As with pretty much every other model in the Hurricane lineup — M5 , M6 and 1M Coupe — the new M3 Hurricane RS is all about delivering a crazy amounts of power, a nice aerodynamic kit and some interior mods.

Most of the job was made under the hood where G-Power added an SK III “Sporty Drive” supercharger system that increases the engine’s displacement from 4.0 to 4.6 liters, adds a modified crankshaft and a tailor-made cooling system. All these updates combined with a Titanium exhaust system increases the M3’s output up to a monumental 720 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.

With the extra 300 horsepower under the hood, the M3 sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds, from 0 to 124 mph in 9.5 seconds and can hit a top speed of more than 211 mph.

Next to the amazing job done under the hood, G-Power also offers an aggressive body kit made from carbon fiber. It includes a new front spoiler, hood and a trunk lid. Altogether, these mods drop the car’s total weight by 24 pounds.

The new M3 Hurricane RS rides on 20-inch forged wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires sized 255/30ZR20 up front and 295/25ZR20 out back. A new G-POWER CLUBSPORT coil-over suspension and G-POWER-ceramic brakes on the front and rear axle were required to handle the extra power.

BMW Concept M4 Coupe

The new BMW M4 and M3 sedan go on sale early next year. The buildup to the launch has been an exciting one, partly because the car in question is a rather special automobile and partly due to the slow stream of information that has been coming out in the media. More recently, a dealer order guide was leaked revealing most of the optional packages, colors and trims.

This time, we will see a clear differentiation between the coupe and the sedan , which marks the debut of the M4.

The M3, on the other hand will retain the performance of the M4 and add four-door practicality. Looking at the history of M cars, one would expect certain performance upgrades that have always been a part of the package. The M differential, launch control system, ceramic brakes and a dual-clutch transmission would never be left out.

Apart from the usual M performance systems, BMW has added a host of personalization options, along with new illumination systems and driver interface. Three distinct packages are on the option list: Driver Assistance Package, Executive Package and Lighting Package.

Most of the driving aides, including lane departure warning, blind spot detection and exterior cameras, are part of the Driver Assistance Package. The Executive Package includes premium leather, heater steering wheel, Park Distance Control, Heads Up Display, Satellite Radio subscription, etc. For the first time, BMW will offer full -LED headlamps with automatic high beams, which is part of the Lighting Package.

A separate options list has been included wherein large diameter M Carbon Ceramic Brakes, an M Adaptive Suspension and an M Double-Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic would be fitted to the car for a few extra bucks over the base price.19-inch alloy wheels are also a part of the options list, as is a Harman/Kardon surround sound system.

BMW is busy developing the next-gen M3 , and the the M4 Coupe . In fact, BMW is so far into the development process, that the company already took the M3 out for its first commercial shoot.

Lucky us, a vigilant eye was in the right place at the right time, and managed to take some shots of the next M3 wearing a very cool Yas Marina Blue Metallic paint with a carbon-fiber roof.

Because the M3 is donning this fantastic color for its official filming session. we expect to see the production model to wear the same paint when BMW unveils it at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show .

For those of you who haven’t heard. the 2015 BMW M3 will make use of a newly developed S55 3.0-liter, in-line six-cylinder engine with an output of 430 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. This will also mark the return of the M3 sedan, since the M4 is taking over for the old M3 Coupe.

Imagine the scenario: The sun is shining somewhere exotic, and you have keys to a Ferrari or perhaps a GT-R and Carrera GT to choose from.

The cars sit near the heli pad and have never looked hotter. The babe in the passenger seat is not half bad either.

Talented photographers really get all the perks sometimes. They not only get to spend hours with some of the most beautiful women in the world, but they collaborate closely and have these model’s undivided attention as everyone on set tries to make great art.

Of course, a wardrobe change or five is part of every photo shoot. But some guys really do have it all behind the Nikon lens. Not just supermodels, but supercars too.
