Sports Utility Vehicle, Coupe, or Sports Activity Coupe, the BMW X6 has been called many things. According to BMW, however, this vehicle is indeed a Sports Activity Coupe which means that it is an enlarged coupe. Now we guess Russian tuner, Armortech, got tired of hearing some people call this vehicle a coupe and decided they would go ahead and make it one. Maybe they figured if they showed the world what it would look like as a coupe then people would begin to realize the difference, albeit only being a small one. Of course converting a large-four door SAC into a coupe model is not an easy task, but ArmorTech managed to do it by pushing the B-pillar backwards and making the front doors 250 mm longer. They have also moved the rear window forward by about 200mm. On the interior the front seats have been modified to tilt and slide forward in order to offer access to the rear seats. Next to the base adjustments, the X6 Coupe also gets engine upgrades, a sportier suspension, a modified exhaust, and a high performance braking system. The customer can also get an aggressive body kit, leather or alcantara upholstery, a sport steering wheel, an unique interior trim, and generously sized lightweight alloy rims upon special demand. .
12 comments: BMW X6 Coupe by ArmorTech Agreed. And they did not shrink the wheelbase or reduce the size in any way. But they did succeed in limiting already poor visibility, all while reducing convenient access to the rear seats. Color me unimpressed.
They should shrink the hell out of it and voila, the design for the new 1-series (or even an 0-series coupe)
That looks terrible the aerodynamic parts completely ruin it, maybe without those it would look ok but otherwise it looks ridiculous
The original actually looked good. They just ruined it and made it look dumb. At the same time took what it was good for away.
The X6 is quite impressive and elegant, now that Armor Tech have tuned it, it’s more than just X6 Coupe
You can really appreciate this car when you have driven it already, it’s not that it really doesn’t look good but you’ll have to base it on the performance.
Dear folks, Amor Tech is a beautyful name, but the real name of the Russians is Armor Tech - as you can see here: http://ww w.topspeed.com/cars/bm w/x-series/2010-bmw-x6 -coupe-by-amortech-ar9 3466/picture369099.htm l Besides, a X 6 Coupé looks much better than the 4 doors. BMW really should build a X Coupé (at least the X 4...) why the heck did they make the X6 a 4 door? In any event I disagree with the current BMW naming system entirely so I suppose it was just another nail in the already tightly sealed BMW coffin.
now I’ve always loved the X6, but I have to admit seeing this 2door concept, is very well done. Hopefully BMW paying attention.
