2011-2012 BMW X3

  Review

BMW has unveiled the second generation X3 SUV in 2010 at the Paris Auto Show. The model has received a new exterior and interior, but also improved engines. And only after one year of production BMW has decided to add another two new models to the line-up: BMW X3 xDrive20i and the BMW X3 xDrive35d. The two new versions will be put on sale in the autumn of 2011.

On the exterior the second generation X3 has received a forward-slanting BMW kidney grille, a large headlight assembly, a powerful-looking front apron, and a bonnet boasting six contour lines sweeping down to meet at the kidney grill. The new X3 will also feature chromed trims on the sides, powerfully flared wheel arches, and taillights with a distinctive T shape. The interior is defined by a generous and variable spatial concept, high-grade materials, and a characteristic three-dimensional surface design.

Although it only looks so simple and ordinary, I can say that it is still very striking and impressive for the fact that it is reliable on the road and practical to use in everyday transportation.

I think it’s not worthy to have an interest on this car since z4 is already on the way. BMW has promised to come up with a faster version since the platform would be based from the fastest sedan-Hurricane RR.

BMW, are really good in making great SUV. Though their design can’t be classify  as luxurious still it has an elegance. And I’m looking forward to a fun driving experience on this car.

Reading from its updates, It showed that consumers are really into this unit. Adela, you have to check it out personally and see how gorgeous it is. I agree with you that the previous models were not really good.

I agree with you, Andress. Most manufacturers are now producing the same features. Actually, it will depends on how they will market the units. This one is simply amazing!

5.6 0-60 is impressive for the class. Heck that is about how long it took my 2005 Mustang GT. Now I just have to wait till the Oct/Nov time frame. It is going to be a long wait.

I think I found my next vehicle. I would like an 35i in black/Tan please I liked the older X3, but this one is a lot nicer with better performance and more standard equipment. I am 6’-4" tall and the extra room sounds good too.

I like how people whined about how Bangle ruined BMW’s language, and yet now people whine about Bangle leaving the company.

Bangle leaves and BMW has no idea what to do now, they lost all focus and this car and the gran turismo are the new definition of ugly in the luxury car maker world, actually the whole car maker world now.

Love BMW , but come on. I’ll buy the badges for $5k and slap them onto to fully loaded RDX and have equal, if not better performance, then use the $10k savings for gas for a year. Yes, I have a long commute for work with beautiful scenery and excellent back roads for driving pleasure.
