Bavarian tuning company, a-workx, has been involved in auto racing far longer than we can remember so they're one of those companies that can draw from their bank of experience to build tuning programs for just about any car they can get their hands on.

For this particular project, a-workx took a BMW M3 and proceeded to give it the kind of racing program that can even take the M3 GTS to task. That's not an easy thing to say, but a-workx has both the knowledge and the resources to make it happen.

The first order of business for the M3 was to give it's 4.0-liter V8 engine a plethora of modifications, including new a-workx camshafts, a new sports air filter, a carbon fiber air box, an Akrapovic Evolution titanium exhaust, and, last but certainly not least, an ECU remap. All these tweaks and additions have helped the M3 increase its output from the standard 414 horsepower all the way up to 460 horsepower and 295 lb/ft of torque. These upgrades have translated into improved performance numbers, including a 0-62 mph time of just 4.1 seconds and a Hockenheim Short lap time of just 1:11.9, six-tenths faster than the mighty M3 GTS. The whole price for the engine set-up rings in at €8,710 ($11,700).

The M3 was also given a chassis upgrade that includes a new suspension set-up with KW providing a set of its Clubsport suspension built to a-workx’s specification. The wheels on this sports coupe were also changed to a new set of 19" ATS Superlights wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires for a price of €4,202 ($5,650). Behind the tires you'll find a new MOV ‘IT CER ceramic brake system that features two-piece discs gripped by mono-block calipers.

a-workx is also offering a 600-horsepower supercharger option, just in case this program isn't 'powerful' enough for you. Just sayin'.
