2011 BMW M3 Royal Edition

It seems that BMW is in a feisty little mood today as we may be looking at their second April Fool’s Day prank. Earlier we reported on the new M3 Pick-up which was an obvious prank and now the German automaker is using the popular M3 once again as the base of another special edition model. BMW UK has unveiled a special M3 Royal Edition as a tribute to the wedding of Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton.

The new M3 Royal Edition will be offered in a choice of three exclusive colors – Regal Red, Bridal White and Imperial Blue. It is exquisitely upholstered in Windsor White Dakota leather and features commemorative "Will" emblems. Yeah, that’s the best part. Good one BMW!

Joe Kerre, BMW Junior Operations Kindle Executive at BMW’s Forschungs und Narren division in Munich, spoke passionately about the latest M car: "The Royal Wedding has captured the people’s imagination so we thought that it would be a fitting tribute to offer an exclusive edition of one of our most majestic models. Given the Windsor’s German heritage, the BMW M3 Royal Edition should make for the ideal wedding gift."

UPDATE 04/04/2011: If you haven’t guessed already; this special edition was another April Fool’s joke by the German automaker. It seems BMW was feeling rather frisky this year!

Honestly, I really like the vehicle for it has an impressive styling. The white paint job of the car really makes it an awesome production. This is definitely an awesome vehicle from the BMW.

Honestly, I really love the luxurious styling of the car. The awesomeness of the car really makes it more oozing wow! However, I think it would be better to less consider the vehicle since its just a special edition car.

Yeah, that would a perfect tribute and I think it wouldn’t be a big deal since they could make it in limited edition.

hmm. I think this concept is kind of perfect tribute for the Royal couple juts like what the Bentley has produced.

@Tristan_cape, actually its for Prince Williams wedding. I never read that Charles was included in the prank!

I want to see this car in the sedan version! I think that’s a good idea..a long wheelbase would give a luxurious look for this car!

This is the most amazing car, I’d really like the total appearance and the simplicity plus the main factor is has a good and huge splitting former based on its looks.

I wonder what would be people’s reaction if BMW actually makes this one for real. It would definitely be something if you saw this one passing by.

Well, if this car would be real, we would just be looking at it from the stands. After all, it would be impossible to get near it if it was a royal car.

haha. What the hell! Oh no! If this car would be real, I don’t want to see myself driving it. Well, Im not the fan of Prince Charles.

Ha, another wise crack from BMW, they really are enjoying themselves on this one. Hope they would make this one a yearly run.

Well, this one is definitely a nice joke compared to all those nasty rumors that some companies use. But it would still be a good idea if they can actually try doing this for real.

Good thing that they are letting themselves a bit loose this year. It’s been a while since BMW actually pulled out an April Fool’s joke on us.

haha, It seems that BMW is fond of April Fool’s Day. I guess, they wouldn’t stop from "pick-up" and "Royal Edition". I bet this would be a month long celebration! However, that was a great joke!

So, is this one for real? It would be really interesting to see a royal wedding themed M3. But I doubt if they would actually take this one into production.

OK now, that’s definitely one good joke. Nearly fell for that one until I noticed that there are some rather odd choices in the names of the features.
