2012 BMW 1-Series F20 by AC Schnitzer

What would the 2011 Essen Motor Show be without the participation of some of Germany’s homegrown tuning companies?

Fortunately, we won’t have to answer that question because at least one of those tuning companies will on-hand to present their new tuning programs. BMW tuner extraordinaire, AC Schnitzer, has prepared a couple of cars for Essen, with one being a modified 1-Series F20 hatchback. Coming to the party packed with styling and performance upgrades, AC Schnitzer’s "ACS1" program certainly belongs on the big stages of Essen.

The exterior and interior of the car were both given some fancy dress-ups. For the former, the changes include the addition of a new front apron and a new roof spoiler to go along with some special graphics on the sides of the car and a choice of either 18" or 19" alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the interior of the 1-Series F20 received a bespoke gear knob that comes with or without a digital gear display, aluminum pedals, a new handbrake handle, custom floor mats, and an aluminum cover for the i-Drive system, among other things.

The ACS1’s performance package didn’t disappoint either. Before we dive into the power kits for the 118d and 120d models, it’s important to share that AC Schnitzer added a lowered sports suspension kit and a new exhaust system with chromed tail pipes to the performance program. As for the aforementioned power kits, which included an ECU remap, the German tuner managed to bump the output of the 118d from 143 horsepower to 171 horsepower while the 120d gets an equally impressive spike, from 184 horsepower all the way up to 210 horsepower.

It looks cool and very exclusive! The exterior detailing is already perfect but too bad it only has a weak engine output. Well, when it comes into figure performance, I would still prefer to have a Mercedes or Audi than with this.

Yeah! I have to agree with that! 210 horsepower is too weak for this vehicle, and they should truly improve it more before they finally put it on its debut, especially on its market production.

They have already improved a lot on the exterior of their vehicle that’s why I would truly hope that the next advancement of it is on its engine. Anyway, I noticed that its 19" alloy wheel is so cool on it.

BMW should really give an extra focused and time on how they could boost more their engine for their vehicles. Anyway, I think its barrel specification is the only unlovely fact on it, and the rest is already so precise on it.

Just too bad it doesn’t have an impressive neither an efficient engine! Well, BMW should really give an extra focused on that matter. However, I must say that just like them, I also admired the stunning appearance of it.

It is really great that BMW is now improving a lot with their vehicle, but I think the next thing that they would need to elevate is the engine which they were typically using on their cars.

Well, BMW really needs to boost more the engine that they were using for their vehicles, so that it will be more impressive on them. Anyway, the combination of its decency and sporty appearance is very perfect!

Yeah! Dalia Pinto was right! It didn’t look like the headlight of Jaguar. Anyway, if I’m not mistaken this vehicle is a race car, but I noticed that its engine is not fitted for a sports car.

I don’t think that the headlight of this BMW and Jaguar are the same. Well, obviously, the dimension of their headlight is so unlike even the angst that it was expressing. Moreover, I should say that they need to reinforce more the engine of it.

Yeah! I would agree with that, but I still find it very similar to their other vehicle. However, it is looking very appealing to its cool and decent body paint. I just only hope that it would have a nice speed on its engine output.
