After officially introducing the X5 M50d, BMW has moved on to announce the launch of the new X5 M Sport Edition - a model that targets customers who want more than a standard X5. The X%M Sport Edition will go on sale in Spring 2012 and will be offered with a new 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that delivers a total of 241 HP and 248 lb-ft of torque.
The exterior of the new X5 M Sport Edition will be distinguished by a new set of 20" light alloys, a BMW individual high gloss shadow line, xenon lights, and adaptive cornering headlights. The model will also be equipped with a pneumatic rear wheel suspension and a sporty suspension setting.
For the interior, BMW has added an M leather-clad steering wheel with shift paddles, as well as stainless steel pedals and the M footrest for the driver. Additional features include a BMW Individual anthracite roof lining, BMW Individual interiors trim strips in black piano lacquer, and doorsills boasting the M logo.
